(Guitar player tip at end of this paragraph) Forgot how much I love this stuff. I'm just going to let it rip with warts and all...after all, it's the blues.. just my Corbin Guitar, Quilter and pixel phone..playing note...almost everyone works on their left hand.. but the color. Tone, dynamics and feel in my thinking, comes more from the right hand...

Lol..it is what it is . ..always wanted to do this CLASSIC!!!

One of my UA-cam friends requested less talk .more music..now I'm thinking about every note instead of just playing it ...but that's why I like doing these ..forces me to play under pressure when recording..live is easy for me...hit the record button and the brain locks up..anyway enjoy my friend...ice done much better versions but this will need to do for now. Thanks for listening.

@ it’s just a band. they have tons of popular songs from the early 2000s. songs like risk and be quiet and drive far away are songs from deftones that are pretty popular.

@@LazaMan101 Yes I agree. But always happy to accommodate someone if they are polite about it and 99% are. I never did these for consumption. I never ask anyone to subscribe or like...I have a very bad memory so I was storing practice ideas here. I also play songs for people sick or shit in..meals on wheels idea, and I own a guitar brand called Corbin since 2006...and we are a serious item in China with the music schools and semi pro players.. and they know me there as Johnny Corbin..from tours, and clinics etc..they enjoy guitar history, western music and it serves as a demo for them. I play for myself first...and your correct, people have stumbled upon it and stuck around. And everyone frankly has been very nice.. Thank You for your kind and relevant comment..play music for someone you know that is ill .send it to them..it's like a meatloaf...they don't care how good or bad you are. They are thankful that someone cares.
Or SHUT IN...LOL
Nice! Very talented guy
@@FoxGrungeNights Thank you for listening..I do these for folks that are ill..sort of like meals on wheels, also do my Asian friends that sell my Corbin Guitars..and as a memory bank of how I worked on something. And believe it is my job to return that favor when I can. Happy New Year

@catman2u2 I started playing in the late 60s ..so played thru most styles over the years ..especially blues...but did acoustic , folk etc..the blues led me to the jazz style ...the guitar is a never ending puzzle.. always enjoy meeting and learning from others. Hope you have a healthy and happy New Year.

Loverly arrangement for this great old number…all the best from the UK
@@janetoconnor9365 ..Merry Christmas Happy Holidays to you and yours. THANK YOU for checking in and listening and for your kind words. How is life in the UK at present?
OK first effort. I'd like to hear the actual melody, as it really comes out of the minor harmony. You mentioned that it's in Eb, but if you listen to more versions, I think you will hear that it actually sounds in Eb melodic minor; it toggles between Eb minor and Cmi7b5, which is the 6th of Eb mel minor. If you think of this tonality instead of Eb, you will get more of the essence of this great tune.
@@JamesSeaberry will take a listen. .I'm a hack..youre the real thing

My uncle just gave me a guitar that is very similar to this one.. I'm struggling to find any information on it at all.. I've contacted a few guitar shops.. They are all digging deeper into it for me.. The tail piece on mine is different than the tail piece on yours, and my tunners are different.. I found a 1940 Sonora online that has the same tailpiece and tunners as mine.. So I'm guessing that mine is probably an early 40s pre-war guitar.. The serial number is engraved in the top of the headstock, D 303.. We can't seem to find any records to date the serial number with though.. Any suggestions on where I might look for information?
