Broken Pontiac G8 shifter pin and lever for key stuck in ignition issue
This one of the causes for the key stuck in ignition issue for a Pontiac G8 after you have ruled out all electrical issues such as the R8 relay. If your mirrors and sunroof are working then it is not the relay. You will notice this problem if your car is in park, your foot on the break, but the ignition switch will still not turn all the way off. This was a slow failure for me because sometimes the pin would catch the lever but it became worse and worse where the lever was always below the pin and the key was stuck with my car still "on" which will drain the battery (disconnect the black battery terminal in the trunk if that happens). You have to disassemble the center console and shifter knob to get to this. Note that the little white plastic hook is controlled by the foot brake.
In this video you can see that the pin does not always catch the lever. The flat lever has to be ABOVE the little round metal pin or it will not engage the solenoid and allow you to release the key. To fix this you have to push the pin over so it engages the lever better, and you can try to add some glue to make sure the lever does not move again for a long time (but do this with a syringe to avoid a mess). I used super glue because it's easier to work with, but you might have a better adhesive such as epoxy, but keep in mind that might be tackier and thicker and harder to work with and you don't have a lot of wiggle room to apply.

roger sterling bribes harry to change his office. This scene had me laughing so hard and was one of the best scenes in the fifth season.

He's got a point about needing to see TV network clients "ringside". This was the golden age of wining and dining clients and the firm would pick up the cost.

Everyone misses this part of the scene, but Harry really took that advice about being out there jet-setting to heart. This is the point in the series where he started down the road to becoming a media mogul and total asshole.

I just LOVE how Roger instantly changes his tactic after Crane says William Pailey. He clearly did not expect Crane to mention a prominent name, so he changes the angle and strokes Crane's ego instead by saying "you're too good to be in this office then" in a heartbeat. Roger may have inherited the business, but no one other than Don can sweet talk as fluently as him.

Glad the video helped. There wasn't anything that showed the internals so thats why i posted. It was the cheapest fix for a major issue (free) but it was a hassle disassembling the center console, shifter assembly and putting it back together.

Is anyone just utterly entertained at Harry's shameless greed? Like, he has the vices of his peers, and the qualities to become a better character, and when we first see him we think he's that overlooked nerd that eventually will shine as a decent man. But instead he just leans into his vices like a frat boy that gets better at his disguise. Lust, greed, gluttony, apathy and deceit, vices that eat away at other characters but seem to have no impact on him at all.

Roger's character has potential of being its own spin off show (Kind of like Better Call Saul) with all his quirky lines, client meetings, his past, his father, flings with young and old, infact he would be a much bigger womanizer than Don.

He'd have been better off simply asking for a salary bump. An extra $100 per month (1960's) for the inconvenience might've worked with Sterling. Roger is the Best. Mostly Roger was just tired of Pete endlessly whining in his ear. Plus Pete's family is politically connected. So realistically Roger pays $100 a month to end the annoyance.
