This is where you can find some of my extracurricular creative endeavours and a few AI tunes I've created.
Lighthouse - The TekTones
Performance: Discount 90's Boy Band (Udio 1.5)
Album art: Not by real people (it's terrible), ChatGPT4o and me in GIMP (the title).
Mastering/Assembly/Arrangement by me, real people: Melina (aka. The sometimes bare naked lady...you can't un-see this, now! Muahahaha. Please don't sue me.) in BandLab.
Lyrics, written by real people - on real paper, no less: Melina
Stems: VocalRemover.org - They're fantastic.
Introducing my discount 1990's Boy Band, "The TekTones," with the second song off their debut album, "Motherboard" - "Lighthouse."
So the story goes: Lockheart got together with Kyle and pitched an idea to their brothers, 'How about we do a song which kind of sounds like something North American Folk? Not naming any names but what if we merged our @backstreetboys vocals with say,@barenakedladies or @GreatBigSeaOfficial ?' Manley, Stanley, and Carl glared at Kyle and Lockheart but eventually capitulated on the grounds that they could pitch something equally #weird in the future.
The rather uninteresting truth of this song is that I copied the seed # I used for, "Stay with Me," and then copied the prompt for that song which was, 'soft rock, boy band, adult contemporary,' and the rabid AI hamsters gave me this...Which sounds great but totally NOT what I was going for which was to continue my boy band pop album.
The even more uninteresting truth is that this song is about the circumstances surrounding how I met my husband. While sung from the man's pov, is, in fact, my own; although, I've added a few lies. I've never swiped left or right...up...down...for a date because, I'm old. I was dating when eHarmony, Lavalife, PlentyofFish were the Tinder of their day. Is it Tinder or Tindr? Is it spelled Tindr like Tumblr? Thank God that I'm old and I don't care. I'm old enough to remember the expression, 'Web Surfing,' which is kind of related to the theme of this song. 👵😉
As always, I have edited this song from what Udio provided me. I've used some guitar from another version on this song (that version is heard at the end of this upload), then duplicated the guitar from the OG/second track, and sound panned those. I've added a pause where the drums take us into the melody and had to slice in some lyrics which were garbled nonsense in the main track.
As always, thank you for listening.

Performance, not by real people: #udiomusic Mastering via. BandLab Artwork: ChatGPT4o and real people, me. Decided to tone this track down and make it somewhere between Track 2 and 3. This song has a very late 1980's feel and IMO, not enough pan flute and electric guitar. Thank you so much for listening!

Performance, not by real people: #udiomusic Mastering via. BandLab Artwork: ChatGPT4o and real people, me. This is a super fun track. 131 bpm, very upbeat, and A LOT OF EDITING. This single track coming in at 7:51 is, in fact, a product of 5 different tracks. My methods are simple: 1. Find a beat I like. 2. If I can't decide on which generation to choose, choose both. 3. Performance, not by real people: #udiomusic Mastering via. BandLab Artwork: ChatGPT4o and real people, me. This song is 2 songs, well, one is the OG and the other is a remix...actually, I used 3 songs in this song (I just remembered the other song used). The reason for the title is that it starts very disco sounding and ends 80's sounding, like the Xennial generation. Thank you for listening!

Beautiful song super spectacular! Thank you for sharing so much beauty & Happy Halloween my friend! 🙏🎵🎃🍫🍬🍭🌟
Thank you for listening, again! Also, Happy Halloween to you too 🦇👻🎃🧛♀️. I hope to make more of these in the coming weeks.
menemani kopiku di siang hari ini ❤
Jordan would, except she's a vampire and can only have coffee at night 😉
Incredible work! 🎶 The energy of this song is simply electrifying. The lyrics are so powerful and evocative; they really capture the struggle between desire and danger. I love how you convey that intense connection with the 'Crimson Crush' and the interplay of light and shadow between love and conflict. Each verse captivates me more, and I can’t wait to hear more of your music! Keep shining and creating these sonic gems. 🌟❤
Thank you so much for this descriptive review and listening! I only wish that it wasn't buried 6 feet under on Udio 😅. Then again, I think I prefer this version of the song. Regardless, your listen and feedback mean a lot to me and I think that this is probably one of the best comments/complements I've received from a subscriber. I'm so glad that you like the song and I hope to make more too - I might get back into writing more lyrical content. BTW, I love the visualizations on your videos. What do you use for them? Lyric videos are helpful but I wouldn't mind if the video production was stepped-up a bit.
Stay with me
I'm glad that you like it. 😊 Thank you so much for listening.
A sweet love song quite applicable to you and Marc, actually. I hope he listens to it. Lovely to hear at 6 am and is definitely reminiscent of those Back Street Boys' days. Write more!
I'm glad that it was at least listening worthy. 😅 I thought that this song might bring back a little late 90's PTSD for you from my Backstreet Boys obsession days. 😬 At least the lyrics are coherent and thank you again for the feedback. I was aiming for sweet. 😉
Rhythm, wind, keys, and all around them, Love, the molecules of the Universe dancing, dancing, dancing!
Thanks so much! I miss music like this so much. I remember getting really frustrated with what the AI was giving me and I yelled, "You know, it's funny when you say that you have a sore throat and within hours you see advertisements for cold medication on your phone but when you want to have more orchestra in your generations, it never happens. GIVE ME MORE ORCHESTRA YOU STUPID MACHINE." Then I sat back down and I guess, it was listening.....
took me on ajounrey love it
Thanks so much for taking the time to listen! This was one of the more complicated assemblies and I'm glad to hear that it plays well. You never know when you get down to it - I often have to walk away and return in the morning.
I love it!
Thank you for taking the time to listen and the comment! It took me a couple of days to get the lyrics working the way I wanted them to and, tbh, I wanted to go back and change a line in the second part of the first verse to, "While Lisa's minding the store," but Udio won't let me any longer...I tried to, "inpaint," the lyric several times but no matter what I did, it wouldn't change it. So, it's staying the way it is!
I love it!
Thank you so much for listening (and I love the stickers 😊). When I assembled this track, I wanted it to have a good mixture between the beat and something new - I hope that I achieved it.
Well, I definitely needed motivation for dog walking today, and this is it! Zoom! Zoom!
I was moving to this song in the car...with my lead foot. 🤣
Let’s go
Thank you so much for taking the time to give it a listen/like/comment/chance and most importantly, your time. I've been thinking about maybe looking into getting my songs uploaded to Spotify/Amazon/iTunes, but I'm not sure how that would work considering that I'm more of an, "assembler/producer," than a, "musician," to reach a wider audience but for now, I'm content with my YT. BTW, I might email Alan or Chis and share the link for my, "Stranger Feels," fan made soundtrack to, "Stranger Things." It has an 80's vibe and who knows, this sort of music production might be helpful to people who want to make their own soundtracks for their Indie films (on a budget)? I'm grateful for your time!
so you made this?
In Udio, yes - as credited 😊. I generated 5 different tracks and then mixed/spliced them together in BandLab. Arranging music is fun. Here's a link to one version I chose to publish on the Udio platform - www.udio.com/songs/dET1HEqg39w9wB5wqJ6ixw, for comparison.
Meditation music in the movement of water, the language of rain...
It's probably one of the favourite song's I've stitched together. 😊
Nice track! 👍
Hey, thanks for taking a listen. Coming from a former DJ, that means a lot. My goal is to attempt to create more instrumental songs which sound a little less repetitive so I think I'm going to have to remix to get those beats and then suture them together in the DAW which isn't really a DAW but that's fine because it's free 😜.
Love the song😊
Thank you for listening Alla and we love Toby! You have the sweetest kitties. 😻Toby was jumping after grasshoppers all this morning and it was very sweet.
I missed my childhood. You have it running toward me in Abyssinian spades! Thank You, Melina! I have listened to this gem several times today!
That's wonderful! Thank you so much. It's a very sweet song and who knows, maybe I'll do a pitch or something like that with it.
Nice nice!!
Thank you so much for listening. I hope to make more like this one.
Listened to the lot! The first 3 tracks made me feel strangely calm, then my neurology went into high gear for the rest, until the conclusion when peace settled in again! Mostly, I abide next to these highs and lows and swirls of sound appreciating you, thinking of you adding conjunctions or notes or instrumentation and quite simply being happy in the process. So! Another Alleluia chorus accomplished! You Go! Melina!!!
It was a really fun process and I was bearing in mind that synth music, generally, is difficult to listen to. So, I hope that there was enough of the other instruments/melodies in there which made them tolerable as an album. Sometimes, even I have a difficult time listening to electronic music a lot. Thank you for listening, again! It takes a lot of time and I appreciate it.
These were awesome! Had em in the background while doing some technical writing!!!
Hey, THANK YOU for listening! I don't know what came over me when I decided to do this? I had this thought, 'I really like 80's music and Stranger Things....maybe I can get something that sounds good?' And, this is what I got after about.....2 weeks of working on it. I've really liked listening to the longer, instrumental songs too (and I too was surprised when I could write emails with them playing). Sound quality translates from headphones to a Bose speaker, and then to the Sonos in the basement, and then to my car's stupid amazing sound system (I listen to the tracks a lot before publishing. In fact, I kind of want to move-on when I am so close to being done 😅). What I got impressed me too (but the AI gave me so much garbage on the way...so much cringing while deleting tracks). I'm glad we share a similar taste in music 😊😃.
Har! Listen, Lassie, to the creak of the moon while it dances on the deck while death's bones shatter! Your Dad might well be, in his reserved intelligent manner, tapping his foot to this shanty! Get ye to the yardarm and bring yer bottle!
I thought, the heck with it, I will listen to this now and not wait till tomorrow! Melina, it is grand! Your Dad always came in the door and said to me, "Har Matie!" He would have loved this, the energy, the wind slamming against sails, the dark piss off of pirates! Ah, the gruesomeness! Then a damned good swig thereafter, or in the thereafter! Well done!
I love that you keep replying on the incorrect videos! It's really sweet ♥. Thank you for listening again and I am going to be uploading a different version of the song this week too! I could hear dad over my shoulder saying, "Those aren't the correct lines, Melina." 😅
"For the sailors' 😉 Nice work, Melina! Appreciate the nautical language - we still use it!! 🚢⚓🙏❤
I think that this song was great too, thank you for listening! It was a challenge to find a melody which struck the mood because the song isn't a happy one. For some reason, most of the generations I was given were very energetic sea shanties, which, would've sounded odd considering the subject matter 😅.
Have me vid game vibes from childhood
I'm really glad that the AI kept to the general vibe of the previous songs on this one and I like the playful, video game-ness, of it too. Some of the synth music it was creating for me was really awful, though. Lots of deleted tracks. Thank you so much for the comment and listening.
My inner ear is telling me that while listening to the beginning of this I am becoming a whirling Dervish! I enjoy the transitions as it progresses, and yes, while I turn, while it turns, there is my heartbeat, your heartbeat. I think it is my hyper-sensitive neurology that appreciates the calm that arrives at its conclusion. Melina, you introduce me to movement in which imagination travels. Now, as I get up off the floor and clear my head, I happily thank you!
I listened the entire soundtrack last night (I've loaded the music on my phone and was listening while I did chores/physio). I think it works as a soundtrack - but then, what do I know? I'm not musical at all! 😅
At the core is a Heartbeat. The rest is the flow of blood and life through a sweet Adventure. I feel as though I am travelling through valleys and forests and over summits simultaneously. And all the while, Melina, there is a hover. A hover...I think that is what makes me sit very still while listening. Thank You, Love.
It's a fun song. Mostly, I'm publishing these so people can play them (maybe), while working or while cleaning the house, doing the dishes, something where they can have music on in the background and be productive. I hope that the ending worked because I was tweaking it a lot (timing). I think the tempo was slightly off but it could've been me because I don't know what I'm doing. 😅 Thank you for listening and for the lovely comment.
@@SimplytheBest313 Melina, that's a perfect purpose for your pursuing this, to share and make someone else's life a little easier. I used to think of that during those years after neurosurgery when I worked on the gardens, carrying water by the margarine tub load (!), hoping that maybe when people came home from work and were doing their dishes, looking out the windows of those apartment buildings, that the beauty would relieve them, or uplift them. This is lovely for the ears as flowers are for the eyes.
I love the vibes
If you liked this one, you should hear the one I have waiting in the wings. It's going to be a part of this soundtrack and I can only hope that I can get more generations of songs which sound similar to this vibe. Some of the generations are a little too.....synthy...sounding...for me. But I do appreciate the likes and the listens - Thank you!
This track is truly exceptional. I’m captivated by the unique blend of progressive house and traditional orchestra. It’s impressive how the melody maintains such diversity throughout its length, while still staying true to its chosen genre 🤩
Thank you so much for taking the time to listen and I could tell that the AI wanted to keep going when I was choosing the generations, so I just let it go. I wish so much that I could write some music to accompany this song too. On my other upload of Peter Gregson's, "A Little Chaos (Final Cut)," I learned a software called MuseScore, applied the BBC Discovery symphony Orchestra soundfont to the sheet music, exported as .WAV files, and did some mixing in BandLab to get the final product. Honestly, I could totally hear an extra violin/viola/cello section in this song and it would be INCREDIBLE if I had the time/know-how to do it. IDK why so many musicians are freaking out about AI music because, even with my limited knowledge of music, can hear potential in nearly every song I've generated. Potential to add to it. Another amazing one to add to would be my "Track 1" of the "Stranger Feels," soundtrack. Seriously, I can hear the saxophone playing toward the end of the song. All I'd have to do is write the piece to match what the synth sax is doing, export the stems from Udio and MuseScore (if I could write it), import into BandLab and make my cuts. It would be wicked awesome. Anyhow, thank you also for reading 😅.
@@SimplytheBest313 :)) well Melina this sure clears up any doubt that the Borg can dance ((: wonderbar :)) wink wink
@@geo3219 Eeek! A Dancing Borg? Now, there's an image 😂.
Ah! Morning is so abrupt, so massive, so alive, so marvelously everlasting! All this I see through the eyes and ears of Melina, tinkering with chaos, expanding the experience of sound!
I enjoyed that alot
Hey, thank you for the complement and thank you for listening. I really appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment. 😊
Honestly, Melina, a hundred times over we could say of each other that we have missed our calling. We have not. You have not. Our calling only grows and expands, extending out into marvels, such as this. Melina, share this with whomever and wherever you can. It is a triumph! You are hairdresser, the master ceremony of technique, the lace and strength of material behind it. May say that I am proud. O Darling! I am!
working didlysquat into a song, is great!
You're telling me! There are so many Jeremy-isms which can't be rhymed with. 😅
Absolutely incredible! You deserve more recognition!
Wow, thank you for the complement and I hope that I'm inspired to make more songs too 😊.
So smooth, Melina! You are correct--this services your lyrics perfectly!
Melina, I am gob-smacked! You never cease to surprise me! This is fantastic! I would love to listen to it every morning. Well done! Always, something new in you burbles to the surface! Do More!
Nice one, Melina! 😊
Thank you so much for taking the time to listen to these. I've been uploading, carefree. If people take the time, that's amazing, if they don't - whatever. Music is about putting it out there and hopefully catching an ear or two. 😊
