An amazing playthrough, some perfect catharsis for the withdrawal symptoms of having finished it myself. And a great introduction to your Lets Play style. I've always loved the softer and more contemplative approach, and getting to revisit this game with a wibbly purple goober as a tourguide was delightful. A perfect fit for you I think. But of course the internet burped right at one of the emotional finale moments, heh. Another parting thought : While it could have very much just been the devs not having properly considered all choices (as is normal in a choice-heavy game, writing tons of dialogue and trying to mentally map out the narrative it makes must be hard), I think in a way the peevish Fortuna still works even though it actually turned out as well as it could have. Just as picking the romance seal gave her what she wanted but in a manner that overwrote her free will, it feels like the fire seal guaranteeing a sense of conflict between Abramar and his contracted master is on-brand. Air influenced perception, water influenced emotion, earth influenced power, and fire influenced conflict. Price alone may be change enough to encompass that, but we forget that Abramar himself is subject to the hidden rule of the cosmos. Just as he is compelled to seek his price at all costs no matter if he adores who he is contracted to, perhaps it is part of the cosmic wheel that Abramar shares in that final flame in much the same way he felt the pain Fortuna did in creating the contract. Perhaps he also pays a price, just as he gains a companion, entertainment, a sense of purpose. All of his previous masters left him with bitter tastes too, either through a broken heart from romance, a sense of betrayal, etc. It may be part of his nature as a wish-granting behemoth, that the fire seal will also burn him too. At least, that's how I like to justify it. No matter how perfectly you draw the cards and no matter how perfectly you play, some elements seem stacked in a way that suggests the inescapable wormings of fate, and only certain endings is able to alter that (and requires some quite extreme magic and final choices that deny the very natural order of the cosmic wheel & Abramar).

I picked Romance too, and I think we're supposed to feel a little bit squicked by the whole thing. While we get what we technically wanted (companionship, a strong bond, deep intimacy, all the good stuff), it also had to override our freedom to get there. The fates found the closest super-good relationship candidate and made it happen. While it ends up being a positive experience for both, and she is unable to fully comprehend the implications of it given she and Grethe are under the influence of the behemoths cosmic influence, we as the viewer get that moment of low-key dread in realisation of what is going on. While I didn't like it for Fortuna, I think it works from the narrative point of view, it's really uncomfortable and it highlights part of the scary power that Fortuna herself holds in the use of her cards. Even while happy, its some potent and spooky stuff. Also, fun fact : The Cosmic Wheel card doesn't show you ALL the outcomes, it seems to give you a wide selection though. I've seen a number of card interpretations that the Cosmic Wheel misses out. For instance, one of Patrice's ends is "You will go out in a cosmic orgy, your energy dispersed throughout a hundred lovers". Which she REALLY appreciated being picked, haha.
