Do The Greenthing
The major issue of waste management in Kenya is documented, both locally and internationally. The crisis is greatly amplified through local waste and imported "colonial waste."
Entrepreneur Nelly Oteki, with her circular business model, furthers this trend into one of sustainable practices. With the integration of traditional Kenyan methods, such as container reuse. Nelly not only reduces waste but offers eco-friendly products to support local economic development.
Her novel approach has received recognition in the Circular Innovation ClimAccelerator, a globally funded program driven by the IKEA Foundation in collaboration with Climate KIC and GrowthAfrica to champion startups for climate action.
