After a lifetime of using PC flight simulators, this universal system has proved to be the best way to mount stick and throttle controls that I've ever used. It's cheap and simple to make, too!

Gotta agree with "Musicpipeline's" comment below--your video is five stars, for sure. I, too, want to thank you for creating this video and for your clear, down-to-earth presentation. Your video guided me through replacing the A/C compressor clutch on my lady friend's 2006 Toyota Matrix last night, and it brought her A/C back to life! It was a long, tough job, but it would have been much longer and harder w/out your video to guide me. One suggestion to improve your video: you might want to add footage describing where the A/C switch fuse and compressor clutch relay are located. The inside fuse panel is located in a ridiculously difficult place to access, and even though the panel cover has a diagram of the fuse location, it's in tiny, hard-to-see print. After installing the compressor clutch, the A/C switch (button) would not activate the A/C, and my heart sank. (Prior to my installation, the switch did work.) I checked the 10A fuse, and sure enough it had blown. Installed new fuse, switched on the A/C, and the compressor works beautifully. Thanks again!

You only need to head up the filament which is sitting in the plastic site pull it back and insert the other site push and let dry.😊

Interesting. The one I have uses a cone shaped input to help with the alignment. As you pull the warm parts through, it aligns and shapes the filament.

You can also just straighten the filament with your fingers and be good when inserting both ends.

why not just countersink a hole at the end of the bowden block? That would act as a funnel then no need for twisting?

Afaik In some of these they already have that, I got one of these off of temu. I was looking up info about them, there seems to be some slightly different versions of this jig. The one with the tapered hole, is the one with the measuring mark inscribed on it.

one of the better tutorials on how to use these, but, the best option for filament splicing is still to use a silicon tube. you get perfect mergings easily with no need of shaping it with a knife afterwards. The only negative with that method is that you loose a couple of centimeters or so of tubing every time because you have to cut the silicone tube open.

Yep, but is cheap. So 2cm is not problem 😊

Cool little trick, i just noticed that you can remove the white plastic part and insert it back with a offset to get the same result without missalign the device every time 😀

I looked up that AC Delco/GM Part Number and every site says that it does not fit my 2007 Matrix. Anyone else use that exact part number?

I had a heck of a time removing and re-installing the larger C-Clip on the inside of the magnetic coil. After a couple of hours trying to re-install it I found that my c-clip tool didn't open wide enough for the larger clip to get into the grove of the shaft. Make sure your c-clip removal and installation tool has ends that will open at least 1.25 inches wide! Tough duty to do it blindly at an angle. What also finally helped was raising the compressor to almost vertically by unbolting the radiator (without removing the hoses), removing the battery and shifting the radiator to the right about 4 to 5 inches (facing the engine). Totally worth the extra work to get the compressor facing up to reinstall the larger c-clip. Thanks for the great video!!!

matrix and vibe share almost everything but the compressors are different due to different line assembly. the procedure is mostly the same. but don't buy a matrix compressor for a vibe or vise versa.

Great video. I didn't have power tools. I used a medium pipe wrench to prevent the clutch from spinning. Worked like a charm. The bottom bolts of the compressor are easily accessible from under the front splash guard. The whole process worked like a charm. Thank you!
