Uunartoq Hot Springs & Settlement Stay in Alluitsup Paa
Watch this gorgeous new video to get you “fired up” about one of South Greenland’s greatest highlights - the natural hot springs of Uunartoq! They’re open - and warm - year round, so be sure to add a wellness day to your plans no matter the season. May we recommend keeping up the remote ambience and booking a stay at Seaside Whale Hotel in the nearby settlement of Alluitsup Paa, before or after a day at Uunartoq.

He past away in 2021, but left behind a very nice legacy. I hope the forest he planted expand and thrive. A healthy forest is a great resource for Greenland.

December23 I was in Narssasuaq, saw some trees around 15 meters. Mr Bjerge said in interview seven years ago they had growth around 20 cm per year, probably a 20 meter tree somewhere

There will be a Big benefit from the trees: they provide shelter from the wind , and a good treeline can shelter up til 80 times its height. I hope the sheep are now under better control, they produce wool, but lays the soil open for erosion, I have seen it in Iceland and Australia, not much topsoil left

CO2 fertilization will assist significantly in achieving increased forestation as well as increase of total bio-mass. CO2 fertilization benefits all of humanity and our entire biosphere, especially biologically marginal environments such as the Arctic region, Siberia, Tibet, South America's mountainous regions, Sahara and Australia's inland area.
