It’s pretty rare these days to get some fresh snowfall at Camelback, one of our local mountains. Snow started falling in the afternoon and made for some great conditions later in the night as the snow got pretty heavy and never stopped. Vermont was getting an ungodly amount of snow for this early December and more than half of the trails at Stratton were open. We missed some of the prime powder over the weekend and what was supposed to be a powder day ended up being very foggy and wet heavy snow, still a very fun day. From December 29, all of the recent snow in Vermont is starting to melt away with the rain and warm weather these last few days. Lots of trails are still open and the conditions are a bit slushy and sticky in the leftover snow.
