Geezus, man, how often are you going to say "anyways"?
A fricken tonnnnn. Anyways, thx for watchin.👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks! I need to do this repair. Looks straight forward. Thanks for the video!
No problem. These Viragos run forever with a little elbow grease and some love. 💪💪 Happy wrenching..
@@juryc9042 thx yeah I just need to figure my carb problem out. Back cylinder doesn’t fire at idle and is rich but above that it’s OK. Need to mess with the floats some more I think
I hate when people spray paint chrome.
I agree, Not my preferred choice but restoring it isnt in the budget or need. Hard to see in the video but most of the chrome on the crankcase was bubbled and in bad shape. Keeping this old bike running and reliable is though, still running today. Just passed 60k miles on it.
Helpful... I have been restoring a 1985 Virago 1000 and have it running well, but slippage at times. May replace the clutch to see if it helps
Damn do you still have that spare bike I'm in crazy need of a gas tank
I know it's an old video. I'm into sport bikes and I just purchased one of this virago and the clutch it's all the way out there before starts pulling... Its that normal on this bikes?
Adjust the clutch cable tensioner nuts. Near the lever. Maybe check the length of the clutch cable as well.
Hey buddy where'd you get that skidplate? Looking for one right now since im trying to jack up my bike on a hydraulic stand
Btw thanks. I hv the same bike and is bogging down. Thpught it might b fuel filter/sparkplugs....changed those....then friend said it was prob clutch plates....ugh!!!!!
Who taught you how to do all this stuff?????
Necessity taught me lol 😂
I hurt myself going in dry one time. Never again...
About to pick up myself a tt250 for $300 and it runs! I think it’s an 82 or around that cause the plastics look the exact same as the one your boy is on.
I would really suggest to run it on non synthetic oil those old engines are really not designed for the modern stuff
I just recently pick up a 1981 tt250 for 1700 it runs and is looking pretty good but I am about to do an engine rebuild these things are a pain the parts are almost impossible to find he mentioned getting an air box holy shit balls I’ve been looking for one of those for ages
I found that exact thing for 700 bucks
Fantastic
"That's a hammer, incase you bust your knuckle and you want to throw it." lmfao I gotta start doing this when I work on the bike.
Dude yes!!!!!! I just had the same experience. 1984 xv 1000 virago with all the bells whistles and gold package..... total price 750. score score score!!!
Yess bro awesome!! These are rad motorcycles.
Also just got the exact same one for $500. So pumped
that is a cool looking bike dude, can we see it go?
Puberty hit my son a year ago and he's ridden the dirtbike one time sadly. Runs like a champ. Ill upload a video riding it after the corona herpes lockdown is done.
I can hear the camshaft's slow death from here.
Yeah exactly right, we ended up rebuilding the 2nd one we had and sold this one for parts.
@@juryc9042 that XT/TT/SR 250 life lol I had cb360's their Cams were too bad to even run so it can be worse.
Hey mate could you put a link to where you bought the new clutch plates and springs
Spring Kit CSK14 from EBC Friction Plate Kit CK2274 from EBC Is what I saw in the video. little delayed but hopefully helpful.
Whoa! a gas tank that holds Gas!?! That is nearly worth the price you paid for the whole bike.
ikr? I have a 1980 tt250G and the gastanks are so rare to find
@@DoomTurtle76 I just got a 1982 250tt a few days ago with a crack in the gas tank. I filled it with epoxy and it's been holding so far. (Knock on wood)
@@Auto_Mattic I've tried epoxy and gas just eats right through it. I'm ordering a tt500 gastank anyway, It should most likely fit
@@DoomTurtle76 this is epoxy for reinforcing bridge rebar and cables. It's some heavy duty shit. It's held for a week so far. Knock on wood lol.
Never go in dry. Great life advice. Thanks for the video
how big is she i got twin girls and their 5 i want to get this for them
Shes 5 in this vid. 6 now and still fits her fine. Her 11 yr old brother at the time even jumped in it when i wasnt looking :-P 3,4,5,6, is a good age range.
@@juryc9042 thanks my dude
Hey man, recently got the same year and model bike. Was wondering where you got your seat and most of your add on parts.
A mixture amazon for the smaller parts and ebay for the larger. Exhaust wrap, kurikan grips, clutch, breaks, whip, pannier supports, levers, mirrors, all those from amazon, and the seat and saddle bags can be found on ebay.
Managed to sneak about 20 "anyway's" in the vid 😋 hope this helps anyone out there lookin for a good virago clutch video. Good luck weekend warriors. See you on the streets.
got me one to $1050 guy wanted $1200 exact same bike I love mine.
Got yourself a nice one there! Those Viragos are tough.
Side note though the battery lasts a long time. She's ridden it 5-6 times about an hour each time and we still haven't charged it. Yeah we're lazy.
Yeah it was a lot more spicy than I expected. Next week were doing the durian fruit challenge. We'll see how that goes. Grr.
You guys are hilarious !! My mouth was on fire too ! -Diggy's Den
coming to theaters this july.
Backyard Barn find for sho, any questions let me know. stay tuned for more videos riding..
