Brice, tonight I totally saw exactly why shooters go off on the Hawks consistently (starters and bench players).. Let me start by saying I'm definitely pleased by the improved effort and result we've shown so far this year, but there's another level we haven't approached yet and that's challenging shots outside of the paint. All teams have good bordering on great shooters, when they get hot you have to affect their shots, just being in front or close to them wont affect a good shooter !!! We don't really have anyone other than Dyson who can move well enough and is athletic enough to do this. Though there was someone close on Lavine a simple cross or head fake was creating the space for good looks. Looks he'd never get against good defensive teams Like OKC for example.

Totally agree Brice, the Hawks are the better team and for most of the possessions it showed. What's so frustrating for me isn't necessarily all the missed shots, I feel our defense allows us to live with that. It's the bumbling of the ball around, not securing easy boards just the little mistakes they make at the worst darn times !! To me it's more those things that keep teams in the game as much as our lack of shooting. We absolutely need to eliminate the garbage. "Also seems like Hunter is coming back down to earth now. The core of this team still has a lot to learn about playing winning ball. Almost every game there are stretches we give ourselves the opportunity to stretch leads and distance ourselves possibly causing our opponent to hang their heads even concede a bit. But we get loose and bring them right back to us boosting their confidence. Once we learn to stop fumbling momentum away in these situations then and only then can we make a real jump in the standings. Man this is a tough team to watch play sometimes.
