I was there man i was there
it's also a house in scots college, plimmer is the best house!
Seen it live today. What visual technology does it use? There is some kind of glass plate, i guess? (Or 4 of them.) On which the actors are projected? Or is it some borderless transparent screen? Anyway, very good Edit: ok, it's in the description, nvm. Still, loved it
🐧
🐦 too
He was too good for this world. 🌍 One of a kind giving soul who helped so many kids feel supported and supported understood.
Thank you for making these videos; sometimes its easy to forget the landscape itself is a witness of sorts. Listening to it can tell us how connected the city has always been to the water.
Fay Taylour did nothing wrong
Based Fay Taylour. Mosley was right
In 2018 a 2oz coin was produced, and sold through the NZPO...depicting the Queen and a coloured picture of the Wahine on the reverse side...
Glad we don't burn stuff in the city today, imagine the pollution!
Modern day stack scrubbers are pretty good. Incinerators are still used at the hospital
Yeh, nice try, I suppose you had to give it a go, huh... lol do you have an object you would like to donate to my museum?(only currently accepting 24 k gold objects but 22k is fine)...
I'm a year 7 now but when I was a year 5 my school ( Postage School ) has something called Education Outside School Week or something like that and we went Titahi Bay to learn to swim then we went to Botanical Gardens to learn about plants then after all of that we went to Space Place which was the best out of all of them by a mile only because of this film right here " We Are Aliens " It's such a great film I spent so much time trying to search it up and find where I can watch it but I think you can only watch it at Space Place which sucks but ehh it's worth it Also the Space Place I watched is at New Zealand Wellington Porrirua
Should have showed it working

kenny is a legend. i remember as a kid meeting him when he owned a pop up sports outlet store in porirua in the 90's. me and my cousin used to go there all the time after school to talk to him about basketball. he was a legit baller and we felt like were hanging out with a legend and we were, he ran ball programs for kids all over wellington, in mostly poorer areas, it seemed purely out of love for the game, true passion. he did so mich for that sport in nz, ive since moved to abroad and i hope his legacy is cemented and not overlooked. he truly was the real deal. god bless him. RIP KENNY, love from a kid from porirua.
Beautiful
I miss you Kenny

my biggest regret as a kiwi sports fan was I never got to see a game at Athletic Park. BUT onwards and upwards at "The Caketin" Wellington Stadium

When I was nineteen I did four world cruise’s as a hairdresser. Had a great time. I could tell you many stories. On the 10th of April 1968 the ship I was on The Southern Cross, was tied up in Wellington harbour New Zealand and it was a day to remember. Two days earlier we arrived and my mate and I decided to hire a car and go to south island as we had a few days there. The ferry to the south island was over the other side of the harbour so we picked up the car and started to drive to the ferry. In those days most cars in New Zealand were very old. So half the way around the exhaust fell off. So back to the Suffering Cross ( thats what we called her) we went. On the morning of the !0th a tropical cyclone called Giselle hit Wellington coming up the Cook striates. I got up to go for breakfast and put on the local radio and they said a car ferry was in difficulty getting into the harbour. I went to have breakfast and came back to my cabin and the guy on the radio was screaming. The ferry the Wahine had hit Barrett reef and capsized in shallow water. On board our ship all hell broke loose. We were docked next to the brand new glass ocean terminal with the wind pushing us up against it. We launched our life boats seaside. The on board speakers said do not go ashore it was too dangerous, so we did. The terminal was all very modern for then, with an escalator taking you down and up. So Pete my mate and I are going down the escalator and the whole of the glass terminal blew away in front of us .it was like slow motion. We got straight back on the up one. 53 people died from drowning that day and we realised if the exhaust had not of fell off that car we would have been on that ferry. Years later I was at church and a visiting priest was there, I said where are you from New Zealand here said. Ho I was in Wellington the day the Wahine went down Ho he said I was on the Wahine. You see this ring. The ship was turning over and I was sliding down the side ready to jump in the sea ( which was boiling and must people drowned that went in). and the ring hooked on a rivet and the ship settled. It saved my life.
