Luffy saying "Well, that's how you are." must be liberating and freeing for Sanji to hear. To know that someone loves you for who you actually are and not for what you can do or how you can be useful, but just to be accepted for who you are as a person. That must've given Sanji so much relief to know that he's loved despite, or actually BECAUSE of, his flaws that he sees in himself. Luffy is just...such a splendid person and friend to have, man. This extends to the entire Straw Hat crew.
