On a snowy day in January 2017, we decided to get together and play some tunes for the camera at one of our favorite spots in NYC, the Four Faced Liar. Here are three reels: Lucky in Love / The Drunken Tinker / Beautiful Goretree The first two tunes are traditional, and the third was written by the great Donegal fiddle player, Tommy Peoples. Erin Gu Bragh.❤
well done Isaac. Who's the uilleann pipes making ?
Sounding great Isaac!!
Wow
Amazing
Congratulations Isaac! I've often thought this tune was "Taylor" made for uilleann pipes, and I couldn't be happier to find the first link of a piper playing it was you!
Lovely stuff lads. Miss having tunes with ye
Lad!!!!! 😎
This is really awesome. It’s great to see you. You look to be in great form.
Appalling. An anthem of tyranny on an instrument of resistance.
The one verse everyone sings is a song of cowardice. "Holy crap did we even survive?"
Sir, this is an Arby's.
What instrument is the man sitting down playing? Love the Irish Music!
Hell yeah! Excellent articulation, beautiful bringing in the drones, and love the regulator work- especially at the end. Bravo a million times over!
Top Class. Beautifully played !! Thank you 🎶
Excellent playing Isaac....who made the pipes?
Thanks so much! That's a full set made by Donnacha Dwyer in 2020.
That was perfect! Correct notes and excellent intonation! We have "professional" musicians sing this at some of our local sporting events and many do not play or sing the correct notes.
Dude is amazing
State of the art
Great job under pressure. Uilleann pipers live in constant terror that their reeds will crap out at inopportune moments due to uncontrollable circumstances like extremes of dryness or humidity. Best you can do is keep playing them every day, make sure your set is airtight, and make small adjustments if needed.
Good job Isaac, I appreciate the use of the drones and regulators. I am of Irish heritage and love the Uilleann pipes. BTW Uilleann means elbo in the Irish language (Americans call it Gaelic). The Uilleann pipes are called that because they are blown up by a strap around the elbow.
Excellent!
Wow Isaac. That was lovely.
This is perfect
Good man Issac!! 💚
Absolutely brilliant, well done sir
Increíble actuación!!! Quién es este hombre?
El nombre es en el título
Multi Talented Insrumentaliist. Wow. This is so great. You were spectacular Isaac. Congrats!!!!!!!! 💌
Good man Isaac! High pressure for sure!
Thank Eamonn! Was an experience for sure. Hope you're well man!

I have no idea why this took so long for youtube to let me see this. I always love covers of Prine songs. Hats off to you. I hope you are still making music!
Some player man! ☘🇮🇪🍺 Have you anymore recordings of your playing, insta handle etc??
Great playing i👏👏👏👏👏👍🏻👍🏻
great playing!
looks like a birthday flute ? :O
Excellent playing Isaac. Been so many years since we've seen each other but as always you've got some excellent tunes to share
Killing
Beautiful playing from both; but being a bouzouki-player, I particularly love the crystal-clear bass lines from Alan.
Peter Abnett bouzouki.
Lovely, lads. What capo are you using Mr. Murray?
chaimyutz thanks! it’s a Thalia capo.
Thank you. This is the first Irish music I've really enjoyed in far too long. It sounds lovely.
Aw, thanks Mary! Nice to hear from you, hope you're doing well. :)
@@isaacalderson6412 Heh. See Facebook. Much ice skating. ;-) You playing in/near central Ohio anytime?
@@marybertke6890 I was in Cleveland and Cincinnati with the show I work on over the summer. Will probably be in Columbus for a week sometime in 2020 or 2021. Glad to hear you're skating! I miss doing that.
Do you mind?? You bit my nose!!! 🤣
Hi Isaac. Great stuff. What is that flute please? I've not seen the like of it.
Hi Kenton, thanks a bunch! Patrick and Aaron Olwell made it, Aaron's keywork on the footjoint is probably what makes it look so different.
@@isaacalderson6412 Thank you very much. Lovely sound, and wonderful playing by both of you.
@@kentonadler3979 Thank you, much appreciated!
What tuning is Jake Charron playing in? DADGAD ? or just drop D?
Jake usually plays in just Drop D
That's super clean and lively, lads! More, more, more!!!
Uhhhh make an album plz?
Spencer Murray they have one! Check out The Yanks
Where can I order their album?!
Thank you for posting this! I used to play the (Highland) bagpipes...since I got severe asthma some 10 years ago I had to stop playing :-((...but I am playing celtic harp now :-)) and I've never EVER heard such a lovely performance of both (bagpipes and harp) before!! it makes me dance around my house :-)) looking forward to hear more of such a heavenly music!
