The pastoral letter on the 2025 Jubilee Year of Hope is so complete that reading through it I started to lose track of what I needed to focus on and how I can effectively contribute. However, when I got to the conclusion, I was confronted with the beautiful prayer of St. John Paul II to Our Lady of Guadalupe. It refocused my gaze on how I can do my part in giving and receiving the love of Jesus. Thank you!

Dear Bishop Golka: As we suffer the passions of the presidential election, would you please comment on guidance from the Church? I have read the documents of the American Bishops on Faithful Citizenship. And I always understand that we need to pray for guidance. Recently our Holy Father spoke of selecting the lesser of two evils among our flawed candidates. Since Colorado ballots will be mailed this week, may we have your thoughts?

I love that you are still able to minister to us from afar through this technology. How blessed are we! St. Pat's and our North Platte community misses you, as do ALL of your former parishes. May God continue to bless you in this work he has for you now!!

This reading reminds me of individuals and groups making the passionate arguments that divide us during this Fall election. All sides claim to have the moral high ground. May God deliver us from this continuous bickering.

Nudge reading--what a great name for this gospel about subordination. In my 20's, I took the word "obey" out of my marriage vows. Today after 49 years of marriage, I understand how each is subordinate to the other during many different times of life.

And Holy is His Name 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️🕊️
