EWSU Videos offers information about the Evansville Water and Sewer Utility. Evansville Water and Sewer Utility provides the Evansville, IN metro area with high quality, safe, dependable water and sewer service at rates which encourage economic development, while managing land and water resources to ensure quality for future generations. EWSU serves approximately 65,000 customers in a 250 square mile service area through nearly 2,000 miles of distribution and collection piping in Southwest Indiana, including customer accounts in Vanderburgh, Gibson and Warrick counties supported by three water treatment plants. Additional services include trash, recycling and street cleaning.
Continuous Consumption Water Usage
Evansville Water and Sewer Utility monitors water usage system-wide and alerts residental water customers if their water meter shows continious water usage exceeding 100 gallons an hour for more than 24 hours. Learn more about this new service and make sure to register your water account at mywater.ewsu.com to receive an alert if you have continuous water usage.

Twice a year, Evansville Water and Sewer Utility temporarily switches the disinfectant used in the water treatment process to free chlorine from the regularly used disinfectant chloramine. This is a common preventive maintenance practice to keep water mains clean and free of potentially harmeful bacteria throughout the year.

I rent out a residential duplex and had a tenant call me yesterday telling me they couldn't use their sink due to the trap being clogged. I was out of town at the time so I provided the tenant with money via a digital cash payment platform and told them step by step how to treat a trap clog.. they completed everything step by step with no success so I get there this morning and do a deep dive on their kitchen sink drain and it is full of food particles that are edible chunk size, a cottage cheese type fatty material and it's so compacted that it's going to require deep sneaking and possibly hydro jetting.. the tenant tells me they don't dump grease down the pipes but when I rented this property to them it was all new plumbing 8 yrs ago
