I have a male smooth coat border collie. he refuses food and water while working. I have been somewhat successful getting him to drink water when he's thirsty (while he's working). basically, he's a workaholic and food and water doesn't interest him, he'd rather stay on task

And how many hours a day do they need to be active? Can we play with them for, say, 2 hours and get to our work for a while? My gsd does the same he never understands fetch is .....go for and bring back as he understands only the go for part but then expects you to take it from him while he resists and plays so now we play he's kinda fetch. However the fun part...if you do not take it from him then he drops it or leaves as if saying what that's not done come back and take it from me.😂😂😂😂😂
