Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service
United Kingdom
Приєднався 15 січ 2015
We look after the counties of Herefordshire and Worcestershire by providing a fire and rescue service. We have 27 fire stations based across the two counties and we have firefighters available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to respond to 999 calls.
However, we don’t just attend emergency calls - we also try to prevent fires and other emergency incidents before they happen. We hope that our UA-cam channel helps you to find out more about what our Service is involved in and how we make our cities, towns, villages and communities safer.

There’s no cure for stupid
Just wanted to say this is one of the best recruitment and awareness videos I have ever seen. Production and editing is absolutely top notch, well done to all infront of the camera and the team who put it together behind the screens.
Tem um contato para comprar esse modelo de escada? Muito interessante. Um salve dos bombeiros do brasil!
Haha 😆 that alerta going off made me jump up and grab me keys then I remembered I left in September 😂😂
Did 36 years in retained fire service, far from easy juggling 2 jobs, depending on how pro active your fire service is,some are far from understanding on work life balance
I have seen this a few times... hits me every time, Alzheimers and similar illnesses can strike at any age, It's just more common in older people. People in their 20s have strokes. Have one lad who suffered just that at our local pub, he's a great guy :) All hail our emergency services, fire and rescue, the NHS, etc
Get rid of the music - otherwise a great video.
How fast was the driver going..??!
Help me get in ur big lady I’d be happy
Hi I’m 41 Amd being trying to apply can’t do it waited life on buses and coaches I’m ready to become I feel I got all requirements plus I’m empath hard to get in wish me luck pls
a chilling ad that will surely fire up people's motivation. Couldn't have been done better.
I'm amazed you haven't pushed your "diversity" in this ad. I hope no one needs to rely on any of the woke emergency services.
You probably won't bother to say stuff like that when you need the emergency services...at that moment it won't matter whether they are black, white, male, female, gay or straight...or even that they don't have English as a first language...they are there to help you, just remember that. To those featured in this video, thank you for your service...I hope I never need to rely on it, but equally I'm glad that you will be there if I do.
You missed the point completely
As an oncall firefighter for Essex CFRS I 100% agree with everything in this video. If is a great job and so rewarding giving something back to the community, and yes we all love the nee naws and the flashing lights.
Here's a 👍 for the retained firefighters at LINCOLN NORTH NETTLEHAM ROAD LINCOLN ( UK) LINCOLNSHIRE, when their pagers go off and your in the vicinity of the station it's pure "POETRY IN MOTION" watching them in their cars turning off the NETTLEHAM ROAD / OUTER CIRCLE ROAD JUNCTION OR JUST OUTER CIRCLE ROAD INTO the car park at LINCOLN NORTH FIRE STATION, they've got it down to a fine art and if you see it for the first time I guarantee you'll never forget what magnificence your watching... it's breathtakingly awesome👍 and they can be mobile within 5/6 minutes flat, thank god for these lads and lasses because you'll never know WHEN YOU MIGHT NEED THEM.... "Thanks for reading my post"
What station you serve at for CFRS
Won’t be calling you shower Using a first aid hose down a chimney for a chimney fire 😮back to training school
I start my core skills in January... i cant wait to get stuck in!
I bet a few people are shitting themselves now, they know who they are. The truth will come out
So sad about Chuck I hope he is doing ok out side the Fire Service. Well done to Daz Packwood Wc and Phil Berry Sc for giving him all the support they could.
I'd be like dow point at me love
But hang on, that was an electric fire you had there, you got bigger issues
what a fucking horrible thumbnail
We call them vollenteer fire fighters in Canada.
They are paid though here, so not volunteer.
Please help me I want to become a fire fighter
This ain't the place to be seen. Call a station
The men in red are here.
Hi love your videos do you do fire cadets at Worcester fire Station also do you have a fire charity where I can fundraise for you
Hi Ollie, Apologies for the delayed reply. We only have one branch of the Young Firefighter Association at present and it is based at Droitwich Fire Station. The charity would be the national Fire Fighters Charity, it's a great charity, search for it on Google to find out how you can help. Many thanks, HWFRS
Love your videos and I want to become a fire fighter when I'm older I'm only 12
Many thanks Ollie. Good luck with becoming a firefighter when you are older, it is a very worthwhile and rewarding career.
What happened to the old chimney rods and stirrup pump?
that Gibson sounds really nice
It's difficult to understand that while they do get called out via whatever method of alert, the ratio of firefighting is relatively small, sorry don't want to disappoint potential on call firefighters ....but read the small print before committing yourselves!!!!
@Awoke Awoke RTC i would say would be the main one. Car crashes.
@Awoke Awoke The most important thing is that the job is being done correctly and all people that are saveable are saved. I'm not a firefighter but a lot of my family are and have been in the past. I'm in the same boat as you. I've applied for an on-call position and have done so in the past without luck processing further. You just need to prepare yourself for the day when you're required to step up and be thankful the more proficient trained man beside you is there. Get the basics covered first. It isn't the job of being the hero. It's a job of working as a team to save lives. With enough confidence and the basics covered, you will be that proficent man.
My on call station has had one house fire in two years, other than that it’s all station standbys and rtc
If anyone applies to be an on call firefighter and only expects to be in the thick of the action fighting fire like absolute bosses... you're doing it for the wrong reason. It's about being there in case their community needs them. Making a difference in people's lives. That isn't always entering a burning inferno and running out with them in your arms. It could be as simple as helping them with oil spills, even if they've just injured themselves, and Fire are the first on scene. Even normal firefighters barely fight fires now. So if you're applying in the hopes, it's all Hollywood... you need not apply. It's about giving back, being there is needed and ultimately serving your family, friends, and neighbours. It is still a great thing to do, but don't apply for the wrong reason. If you're having to battle a fire... you need to remember it's not a celebration! It's potentially a dark day in someone's life, especially if it is a house fire. Never forget, no matter how much of a rush it is... for someone else, their entire world has potentially burnt down! None of this American high fiving and wooing crap!
Good film, but you should expand it to be longer and more descriptive.
Great work everyone, i bet you got the exercise name from Thomas the Tank Engine :)
Nice work Droitwich crew (Y) :)
It's really a good video you've made there, it's only natural for people to have these illnesses and weaknesses, including firefighters. But as long as they can get help from their team and families or see a doctor or a specialist, they'll should be alright. I hope Chuck and his family are ok after their house fire.
I feel so bad for chuck
You should do a video a video of the fire engines and there equipment or a video of road safety
Great Video 😃😃
This needs more two tones.
This wouldn't happen in real life with such supportive managers!!
SO 🚸
Glad the driver was paying attention, good job!
Your video is all too true, we've seen and heard far too many chimney fires that have ruined homes and lives - That's why we brought our Chimney Fire Extinguisher to the UK market! www.ubuyudo.com/chimfire-stop-2
What happens next
You can tell this is a Fire Service produced film; the acting around the information parts becomes really hammy...
GI
Gp
Chuck(if he didn't have dymensia)would be one if the best firefighters I have ever seen
Dementia you mean!
What would happen if you got a call on holiday or at night
Sam Ensor when you join you submit an availability matrix this tells the service what cover you will be providing you also get annual leave days to use throughout the year as to the calls at night if you are available then you are expected to respond unfortunately we can't control when calls come in we would all like them to be at the most convenient time but they never are. I've been on many calls at 2 in the morning and then have to be up at 5 to start a 12 hour shift it's hard but you get used to it
Ok thank you
Good work Chuck. Xx
