Hello. I would be interested to hear if this is a standard chipper? i haver a machine from the same company, but it does not have any hydraulic feeding system. have you added that your self? would it be possilbe to see some pictures of it? Thank you in advance. -Morten Rytman
Yes it is standard with one hydraulic driven feed roller, the upper one. The lower is a smaller free spinning plain roller. It works very well. I don't think a second driven roller would be much better. The lower discharge pipe is homemade from 2mm steel and stick welded together. I also made some holes in the front with a hole saw to enhance the airflow to the fan. And put a opening lever at the spring loaded feeder so you can easier get started on bigger trunks.
@@vikkronq Thank you very much for your quick response. :) My machine is an older 250mm version i belive, but i was thinking of adding rollers, i could tak them form an olf JF 850 silppuri. :) i was thinking of having lower roller free spinning as you say, so i only need one hydraulic motor. yesterday i chipped a couple om m3. but seems like the "blower effekt" iw quite weak, i might also need to lower thedischarge pipe ( would make it a lot easiyer t odrive in my barn aswell) where excactly did you cut holes, and would you notise any major differance? Previous owner have made almost one cm between knives and counter knive, i have no idea why, but the machine dos not pull in the logs at all i have to push everything really hard. knives seems to be relavtive ok, i dont know how sharp they need to be, or where i can get them shapened. I really apprechiate your help :)
@@mortenrytman2703 the holes are in the upper cover above the driveshaft. There are some 50mm from the bottom edge to keep the shape. The holes are about 35 mm or something in a pyramid shape 5-10mm apart. In bottom row 7 then 6 and 5, doesn't remember exactly. The blowing effect is great but I think the main advantage is that I run it on 1000 rpm instead of the maximum 540 rpm that the manual says. Also the older tractors power was more suited for the higher rpm. The heavy cutting disk works as a flywheel and shorter pieces of really big logs went through just by the inertia. I think the gap between the counter knife and the knife should be 1mm or less. I can check the diagram on the machine. The angle on the knifes are very precise. If it is right you have to be careful not to feed to much as it will suck in more than the tractor can handle.
@@vikkronq This information is to precious to me. :) you are absoluteley right. the space according to manual is 1mm. (my counter knice seems to be shapened 45 degree, but in the drawings its just a straigh surfave) maybe it is not the original. I am running it on an onld Fordson super major, with a 20mm log i dont even think the speed of the engine went down, because the log goes so slow into the machine, almost no pulling at all. Knives should have an angle on 30mm according to manual, but i saw a video on youtube with osme one saying that 29mm i better, and he said it a big difference. I will try to play a little more with it, shoten teh funnel, make the holes and adjust couter knife. Thank you so much. :)
