Hi Merovingian, I filled it with both cold and hot water at the same item, plus had the pump heating it once filled over the intake, so it was at temperature faster. As for the PH testing it was clean fresh water like taking a bath so I did not care for the chemicals and testing for a quick dip. I added the Bromine / Chlorine tablets to stock up the chemicals but does not worry me. Yes, you may very well be right professionally you probably do need to do all of this but for private self use just get in and enjoy it top up chemicals and test the water after if you are in a rush. Hi, If the NAS is showing it's working and you have setup the router right, then it should be fine. Some routers will show the aggregated connections and others won’t, not much you can really do about that. Testing the speed probably won’t work with only 4 drives as there will be a bottleneck there. You could pull one connection and see if it works then plug it back in then pull the 2nd and test again it should fall over without any issue. All the best and kind regards Dave

Hi Louloulou, I have ours on our dual band network and it works fine but it is only working on the 2.4ghz band. The video bandwidth is fine for 2.4 and the shorter wave length has better penetration so it should be fine I would not cancel the order for this reason. The Ring doorbell is fare more responsive and reliable than our old SkyBell. The only down side to the Ring is if you want video/photo history you need the Ring monthly subscription which I don’t agree with. I feel that a few days to a week shod be included for free. Hi John. It is all glued / PVC welded shut so no I do not think you would be able to get to the valve. If it is not working at all you can try heating up the joint with a hair dryer or heat gun to soften the joint and brake it loos but this may very well damage it beyond use so do it at your own risk. Hi Nmore69, The radiant heat from the sun heats up the outside and then conducts the heat into the water. Yes plastic is an insulator but as its a solid plastic not an aerated one it does allow the conduction of heat, so you end up with nice hot/warm water All the best and kind regards Dave

Hi Bryanmorote, You need an Ethernet cable to go from the RLN 8-410 (NVR) to the Camera to get the video feed and send power via POE which is easer then separate power. The (NVR) Network Video Recorder can be anywhere you want. If you want to connect it to the internet then you just need to run an Ethernet cable to it from your existing network ie your router. Best to place the NVR in a location where you have power and running the cables to the cameras are easier than worry about how you will connect the NVR to the home network. You don't need easy access to the NVR once it's all setup as long as you have connected to your network. Or you can have it run without connecting it to the internet/network but you will need easy access to the NVR to play back videos and download to USB. I hope this helps. All the best Dave

Hi FudgeyButter, In the past with the old units the bubbles had just outside air pumped into the water cooling it down much quicker than the new ones heat the air so it looses heat slower than before. I was not saying you use the bubbles to heat you Spa as this would be very inefficient and noisy. If you are wanting to heat the Spa just run the heat mode, it will stop when the target temperature is reached. I hope this helps all the best Dave

Yes it does not boil the water but it does make it warm hot might be a personal sensation but it is defiantly warmer than the tap water feeding it. All the best Dave

Hi Ronnie, Give it till the end of summer and the Clever spa cover will be worse for wear, ours has faded and ripped. Holding it together with duct tape. I could just bin it as we have the Lay-Z-Spa one as well but as I have both I might as well double it up. But if you were to go for one I would recommend the Lay-Z-Spa for durability instead of replacing the Clever spa every year. All the best Dave

Hi Ramesherrabolu1590, You connect your fibre converter straight to the Internet port and should be good to go. If you have fibre phons then you will need to go though your ISP router first and then into a LAN port and you could then get Double NAT problems. All the best Dave

If you uninstall you will need to set everything up again on the computer and might confuses the backup and sync system as you are doing it a 2nd time on the same computer. Hi Richard, I find that the Clever Spa are susceptible to UV and only last one year possibly two but if you keep yours under a gazebo that could well be enough to prevent UV damage. I found having both did help If I were to only get one I wound go for the Lay-Z-Spa for longevity. All the best Dave

Hi Phil, Auto Unlock requires you to leave the geofenced area but pin and touch to unlock does not. There may be a smaller area for it to retrigger the wake of the lock. I find it normally is happy to touch to unlock if I cross the street and back, but staying on our drive which is about a cars length it will not wake the touch to unlock function. All the best Dave

What you are seeing is the cap of you Ethernet which is 1000 Mbps (or 1 Gbps) or 125 MB/s look at www.gbmb.org/mbps-to-mbs 900 Mbps = 112.5 MB/s So each of your drives is 2x faster than you connection. To get faster write speeds you will need to upgrade all your network equipment to at least 2.5 Gbps I hope this clears things up for you. All the best Dave

@@BrenTeckITSupport Thanks for the answer, but let me disagree: there are 2 cables from the router, each 1 gigabit per second to different computers. There are also 2 cables between the synology and the router connected in a bond. The total throughput of the bond is 2Gbps, I expect the router to take data at this speed and transmit it to 2 computers at 1 Gbps each. An I not right?

@@MrPByH Hi MrPByH, I get what you are saying and in theory you are right you should be getting faster speeds, 1Gbps per PC minus overheads. What Router do you have? As it may have a Through put limit that you are maxing out. I assume its Server -> Router -> PC no switch or AP in-between. Also how have you set the bonding on the router and Server as both need to be set to IEEE 802.3ab LACP / Balance XOR draft v1 will do but LACP is better / with Adaptive Load Balancing being the slowest. @@BrenTeckITSupport my router is Asus ax3000 v2 , latest firmware. IEEE 802.3ab LACP is turned on both in router and Synology 923+. I also tried to set up bonding in correct order: 1) turm off bonding in synology 2) plug off ethernet cables from synlolgy 3)reset router to defaults 4)turn on bonding on router 5)plug ethernet cables back to synology 6) turn on bonding on synology. In the end it didn't work either.

​@@MrPByHHi MrPByH, Sounds like you have done everything right. I am suspecting the Asus ax3000 LAN is the bottleneck here. I can not find what its throughput should be on there site so really don't know. You can look at www.asuswrt-merlin.net/about but it's for V1 not V2 so may not work and will invalidate you warranty. I feel that Non-Blocking Throughput: The maximum amount of network traffic (Generally in Gbps) that the Router/Switch that transmit at the exact same time. Forwarding Rate: The maximum amount of packets (regardless of size) the switch can process per second. Could be the problem. Have you tried JUMBO packets? Something I have not tried as I don't know if all my devices support it. I assume you are looking at the Synology Resource Monitor not the computers task manager! Also make sure you do not have any background task happning on the server such as drive diagnostics, cleaning, error checking etc. I will see what happens if I get a couple of computers writing to my NAS at the same time out of curiosity. I have UniFi set up now but still limited to 1Gb switches. Hope this helps Dave

Is it possible that as you got it from a 3rd party it was ex-display/used/fake and could have been misused. To avoid this always buy from a reputable trustworthy source. Hi Manic, this is a cable router so no inbuilt ADSL modem. You can connect an ADLS modem to it and it will work but you may get a double NAT issue. For others reading this, to add drives to a storage pool will depend on the type of RAID you set up. I recommend formatting the drives as Btrfs and using SHR Synology Hybrid RAID or RAID 5 for most users. I wish SHR was fully supported in the XS and rack mount series of Synology servers as I love its advantage of adding lager drives to the RAID later on and getting the space available sooner. I have custom designed our heating system as most if not all UK Y plan heating systems don’t work the valve to the best efficiency strange how simple it would be to add a relay to it or for a smart system to control it better. The relay is not a requirement just me being picky on operational logic. The Tado system is far far better then any other heating system I have tried or worked with for a standard install. So easy to have effectively added heating zones to a one zone system. Make it far more efficient to run and speeds up the heating of your desired room. I would also recommend getting SpeedComfot fans for all radiators.
