Shout-out to lanabanana - for the Spanish Dance Synthesia video. As I couldn't find the tabs (and I can't read music sheets:) ), lanabanana's video helped me transcribe the composition. Link to lanabanana: ua-cam.com/users/TutorialsSynthesia I'm too lazy to write the tabs, at least for now. If there's interest, I might get around and do it. Backing track by me. Is there a way to map one of the two crashes as a china crash? And is there a way to make it sound like a pearl reference one?

U GOT TO MOVE THE WRISTS DUDE, WHAT IS THAT? JUST ARMS? NO WAY MAN
Hello I need help, I just want to ask if it will still have sound coming out if I'm not using any VST?
Hello, thank you it was very helpful, but I have a solid sound delay when connecting to reaper, does anyone know how to fix it?
MIASMAAA YESSSS
Hi Milan , if you do write out the tabs let me know and i will donate to your channel
Do you know what power supply this has? Im in the UK so I'll need to get a different plug
also it looks like you need to raise your whole kit up a solid 30 cms 🤣
I think you should be fine with just a standard UK 3-pin plug. The adapter is 110-240V. As for the height - yes, I’m on a taller side, so I had to lift it up pretty much as high as it goes :)
@@milanmandich thanks for the info thats useful. aha I only mentioned the height because Im also very tall, + female proportions so it makes me as leggy as a 6'4 bloke And evey affordable ekit I tried out say ~10 years ago the rack were was too low that I just gave up on the idea of ekits. But looking again now.
is for children.... lookout the height
It really isn’t an honest review when using software like EZDrummer…
Great video these are on my radar and the Reaper lesson was amazing that you for all the details.
Hello, nice vid btw. But I have one question, when i do your steps in reaper I don't get a single input, I enabled the input for the Millenium and selected the midi input for the drums but it doesn't work? What is the problem?
My 850 cones tomorrow Hope it's as good as everyone says!!
Still happy with mine, give us an update once you set it up :)
@@milanmandich I will! Not played for maybe 4 years but as a semi pro in an apartment I thought I will give it a shot!
Sir! Can u kindly pin the shopping site for me. Bcos i find lots of Thomann shopping site which might get me into scam. And will this be a good delivery to abroad contries as i was typing here in India?😊 btw I love the demonstration
Hi, here is the link to the Thomann’s official website in Germany: www.thomann.de/intl/millenium_mps_850_e_drum_set.htm I am not sure if they ship outside Europe, but you can give it a try. Good luck!
Thanks . Btw can u plis tell me the size of the whole package/parcel in terms of length n girth?
Unfortunately, I threw the box away, so I don’t really know. What I remember is that the height of the package was about 1.5m, and it was about 30-35kg, if that helps.
Thanks alot
This is one of the best, very broad and descriptive review I seen on yt! Thank you 🙏
Oh man, thanks, I couldn’t find a detailed video on the set, so I decided to make one myself. As you can see, I don’t post too often :)
Hi, write me please total weight of this drum machine?
Hi, if I remember correctly, it was about 30kg, together with packaging.
Is it possible to plug another bass drum pad? Maybe with some Y-splitter cable or something?
Hi, I’m not sure about the Y splitter, but the second input (talking about the 850 model) is taken by the third (ride by default) cymbal.
A je to :)
I assume the sound with the original millennium sounds would be way……different to say the least, right?
Definitely!
This was great. I’m switching from logic to reaper right now and was wondering how it would work with my e drums so this helped me make the move. Thanks
The sounds that come on the module if you could hit me back and let me know if they're satisfactory or not that would be great
They're all right, you can use them for gigs, but I would definitely recommend messing with the ezdrummer library for studio recording
@@milanmandich sir thank u for your time and input . Godbless you and all of yours Matthew Alan Kitchens 🤚
I believe you could drop the advanced beginner part did a beautiful job my brother good nice sticking keep on rocking I'm looking into buying an MP 850 myself for replacement on my leases kit your video was helpful thank you
Hey Matthew, thanks, I'm glad if the review helped. Good luck with the kit!
Thanks for the great review! What is the rack height of the kit?
Thanks, Antonis! The max height of the bar in the middle is 75cm, hope that helps ;)
@@milanmandich thank you! My height is 1.89m. Do you think that it ll be suitable?
@@Muzaoui8 For the reference, I'm 1.96
@@milanmandich Perfect! Thanks again!
May I ask what CHAIR were you using in this video? Thanks in advance! :)
Hi, it's just a regular Ikea office chair - "Järvfjället" is the name of the model ;)
@@milanmandich ahh, okay, thanks! :)))
Is That Pat and Mat music in the background of the intro?
Yup :)
Nice to see the pooch supervising ! 🥁🐕👍
Either you're a giant or the kit is tiny / wide-angle camera?
:) A little bit of both - I am on a taller side, and the drum is more on the compact side
Thanks for making this brodda! pretty tight on the demo as well. I imagine it would be pretty difficult at first trying to lock up like that? After being used to acoustic drums i mean? good job
Hi, thanks! Actually, I haven‘t played drums in quite a while before I got this set, but getting back to it was a lot of fun!
I've combined a Millenium MPS-850 with an Alesis Turbo Mesh ua-cam.com/video/F71Fth-NqRo/v-deo.html
Hi dude i know im kinda late.... but i need some advice. Im an intermediate drummer i mainly do drum covers. I have some questions. 1. Are the sounds good for what i need it for ( in-home drum covers or maybe some small club gigs in the future?) 2. Is there any latency on these drums? I heard millennium has some problems with that. 3. Im 185. Idk how the kit would fit me?? Those are my concerns. And it would be great if youd give me some small pros and cons (Also im upgrading from alesis nitro mash kits is this one any better?) Thank you my Balkan friend. Cheers!
Marshal Zhukov, I see you swapped guns for drums :) 1. The sound is - well, ok, not the best sounding module, but it does its job. For recording covers, I'd personally connect the set to EZ Drummer. For a club gig - hardly anyone will notice the sound difference. 2. I haven't experienced any latency whatsoever, and I use a super long cable to connect the drums to my fairly old computer. 3. The kit IS compact, but I got used to it pretty quickly, and I'm rather tall. In general - pros: cheap, durable with a variety of options. Cons: small pads, hitting the top of the cymbal to get the bell sound takes some time getting used to. Other than that, I haven't had any issues. Lastly, I haven't really played Nitro, only Crimson and Strike kits, so can't help you there. I hope this helps ;)
@@milanmandich Thank you very much! This helps alot in some of my "insecurities" about these drums. Hvala ti, sve najbolje!
Does the module have any additional inputs if you wanted to add an additional cymbal?
Hi (love the nick, btw)! Unfortunately - not, the trigger inputs on this module and in this configuration are both taken by the additional crash and the tom :/
@@milanmandich ah good to know, thanks for the reply!
Great work with your video, I'm on the hunt for my first edrums after 20 years playing acustic. My hunt led me here and your video really helped me on my decision. It's going to be ordered. Great play there, advanced beginner? Naa...
Hi Miguel! I'm glad if the video helped, make sure to share a jam session once you get the drums ;)
The unboxing part is quite helpful to figure out how to re-box it for transport 😜
Great video! Can you set it up for a left handed player?
Hi! Sorry for the late reply, I wasn't home, so couldn't reply until I checked - yes it can, you can basically just mirror the installation, and it should work just fine.
Have you tried the 850 with ezdrummer?
Hi Randy, I am using it exclusively with the EZdrummer :)
either you're a giant or those drums are tiny!
It's a bit of a mixture - I'm a little bit on the taller side, and the kit is definitely a bit on the smaller side. Oh, and camera adds 10 pounds, or so they say! :)
My drummer just got an E kit for recording. This video is gonna come in handy immensely
Oh thanks man, and good luck with the band!
@@milanmandich thanks dude!!
Beginner? Right!
Heh, luckily I haven't posted bloopers! :)
Hey man, I have the same Millenium MPS 850 as u do, but unfortunately while I play and push down the high hat, I cant make that more "fluidic" high-hat sound by letting up the pedal, as I can on a classic drum set ? Is there a set up where I can set this mode or is it a disadvantage on this electronic drum-set which cant be solved ?
Hey András! Yeah, no, you can't . I was messing with it in the beginning, and I managed to get three diferent sounds from the hi-hat - fully closed, semi-open, open. It's one of the downsides of using an e-kit instead of the real thing, unfortunately.
Hi!Any problem about the kick pedal?I have to hit roughly to hear the pad sound, the others are ok...
Hi Israel! Not really, sometimes, when I play I kinda can't hear it well, but it in the recording - it sounds ok.
Hi Milan, is it possible to insert external sound into the module via USB key
Sorry for the late reply, I totally missed this one - do you mean - listen to the music via USB, or adding sound libraries via USB? Music - yes, sound library - I am fairly certain - no :/
Great review thanks!!!! i will have a similar setup in my home studio. my pc will be far away from the drum module so i will need at least 3 meters usb cable to connect it my pc. How long do you think would be acceptable for a usb cable to work properly (no signal loos, no noise etc) Thank you ;)
Thanks Kostis! My usb extension cable is 5m long and I don't have any problems at all! And it was just a cheap one that I got at Thomann, nothing fancy. Good luck with the setup!
@@milanmandich Thank you Milan ave a nice day ;)
Nice dude. That rocks. \m/
Muza z "Sasiądów" xD Grettings from Poland! ;)
Now I need to check out your other videos to see if you have other 70’s movies playing in the background… ;-) thanks for a great review :-)
Hahaha thanks! I freaking love everything about that movie :) It's always in the background ;)
Hey, great video! I'm wondering if there is a noticeable difference between the MPS 850 vs the MPS 1000 that could make it worth it to buy the MPS 1000
Hi, thanks! I haven't yet had a chance to try out the mps1000, so I don't know. From what I've seen so far, looks like a nice upgrade, but I don't think I could fit it in my room anyway :)
Thanks for the answer, really enjoy the video!!
Very nice review. Thank you very much!
Thanks for the detailed overview, including unboxing! Like most people looking for their first eDrums, I've landed upon the Millennium, Alesis, or Roland options. Definitely tempted after seeing a bit more! I know you mentioned that you didn't use the inbuilt sounds very much, but how do they compare to any other modules that you've used before?
Hi Ben! Thanks! The sound is really not that bad, I may have been a bit too harsh, you can definitely make it work, but they do sound artificial to me. Rolands that I've tested have by far the best sound, but we're talking about 6-7K kits. Alesis sounds a bit more natural to me, but they're really not that far from what I managed to get out of the Millenium. They do have more voices though. I Hope this helps!
@@milanmandich thanks for getting back to me, appreciate it! I've tried out an Alesis Nitro Mesh in store but unfortunately there aren't many physical shops in my area that stock other options so trying to gauge about the module options from reviews like this
Hi! I just bought this kit, but I’m running into a bug with the hi-hat controller (similar to this video: m.ua-cam.com/video/2uA5798b0vc/v-deo.html). I haven’t been able to find a solution, I was wondering is you have experienced the same and maybe have a solution or any ideas?
Hi Basdev! I checked it on my end just now, and I've got no issues whatsoever :/ Two things I would try would be to lower the hi-hat pad so it sits right above the switch (the switch being that moving spring thingy on top of the hi-hat controller), as it's extremely sensitive. Also, make sure the hi-hat pedal goes all the way down when you press it. The sound switches to the semi-open hi-hat as soon as the pressure is relieved. Let me know if this helps, and good luck!
Thanks for a great review! Helpful both to make me choose the kit and set it up. Maybe you are the drummer in Ghost. Who knows ;)
Hi Johnny! Thanks, I'm glad you find the video useful! Trust me, I couldn't even call myself a drummer, let alone be the Ghost's drummer, but thanks, I'll take it :)
Great video! I got the same kit early 2020 and thought someday I'd try connect it to a computer to record drums. Seems like it will work exactly as I expected as a midi device with a drum plugin on top in reaper! Also some decent playing at the end! I'm still only starting to learn haha.
Thanks! Exactly why I bought it as well - as a MIDI device, and it works nicely! Also, you'll get better and better so long as you enjoy playing - that's the point, right? :)
I feel like the drum set is a little short, is it too short?
I'm 6'5 so I understand it does look small, and don't get me wrong - it is compact, but I still managed to find a comfortable position.
