This webinar focused on how teams at doctors’ surgeries are changing and expanding to help patients get the care they need.
GP surgeries - it’s all about teamwork explored the range of health care professionals now working alongside GPs to make it easier for patients to access a wider variety of help from their surgery.
The webinar explained what different members of the general practice team do, and why this might mean you are seen by someone other than a GP.
Speakers included GPs Dr Michelle Brennan, Chair of Oxfordshire GP Leadership Group, who spoke about the importance of teamwork, and Joe McManners, who talked about triage in surgeries.
We were also joined by a pharmacist, paramedic, social prescriber and a musculoskeletal first contact practitioner, who talked about their roles as part of an integrated team within their practice.
