First guitar was a Taylor BT2 Baby Taylor Acoustic Guitar. Looking to get an electric soon.
That's awesome! I have a cheap fender acoustic but I've always wanted a Taylor. Someday I will get one lol

A fender player series strat would be good, all other models like the professional are on the more expensive side.
The best advice I could give you is not to replace the machine heads just yet because it is pretty common to see machine heads like that, I would lubricant the nut and bridge, with Vaseline or Music Nomad TUNE-IT.
Oh I will try that thank you 🙏 . I didn’t know that was common, I’m still a total beginner when it comes to guitar.
I should point out that the strings I’ve always used are regular slinkys
