Citroen C1 / Peugeot 107 / Toyota Aygo DIY service
I wanted to learn how to edit videos, and my car needed servicing. So I figured why not film it and use the content to learn how to video edit. Anyway this is the result of my bad filming and entry level editing skills.

Best to use a funnel when filling with new oil. After adding oil you check oil after running the engine. If you just add oil & check it you haven’t yet put oil in the oil filter so the reading will be wrong.
Nice job mate, cheers 👍
Very well done!
Great video
What bolt an washer did you use on the oil pan ?
its a sump plug&washer made specifically for 107/c1/aygo which you can order online for a few quid
Great little video that mate I just got a 107 on a 09 reg im going to service her my self
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Its very useful for beginners like myself.
Great little car. Has mine 9 years, 116,000+ miles on the clock, 9 years of issue free motoring, just replacement parts covering wear and tear. Replaced my 107 with a Suzuki celereo, wish I hadn't now 😂
Hi does the engine always runs that loud
Well done
When putting in new oil I recommend using a funnel or even a water bottle cut in half so all the oil goes in as you don’t want burning oil on your engine but great video👍✌️
Correct process is warm engine, undo filler cap to allow air in for drainage, undo sump plug first and drain oil, then undo oil filter, fill new oil filter with fresh oil, smear oil on face of filter then reassemble.
I agree with undo sump plug first before removing the oil filter. But I undo the filler gap after the sump plug. Reason is that it reduces the flow a little bit when undoing the plug so there is less change of a mess. That's my theory at least, don't know if it matters much.
@@slinkossupposedly not good practice in case you drain the oil and are then unable to remove the filler cap.
@@jr.sw23 aah yeah that is a good point haha! Thanks.
Thanks for the upload, buying one of these shortly and wanted a heads up on servicing one. Nice looking little cars.
You forgot to change Cabin filter mate
Great video, but please can you confirm where to place the axle stands?
Is that the correct place to put the axle stands? I thought it had to go under the wishbone fitting?
Anywhere there is solid metal is fine
Nice video Adam. Well explained what and why. On 6:40, when removing the old oil filter, you could use a leakproof, transparent freezer bag of e.g 5 litres. Just open the bag, catch the filter inside it and start loosen it. With the bag you will catch the running oil and the dirty filter. This way you keep your hand and machinery clean.
Yes, agree with the other reply, great tip.
Great tip, thanks
Brilliant idea. I'll give that a go next time.
Great video, I find it less messy if I drain the oil from the sump plug then when its drained then change the oil filter.
Ye, I've never seen anyone fit the new filter before draining the sump ...strange. =)
@@mickenoss at 26:53 he did put Stupid Bloke guy on the screen, maybe he was inspired to troll us? who knows
How much did it cost?
Great video but think you need a funnel on your Xmas list
@somerandomname9252how much more is it from a garage or a Toyota dealership for comparison?
Great video, very clear with everything you said and shown, I will be servicing my daughters today thanks.
Great video, thanks for sharing
It is better to change oil when the engine is cold because all the oil is in the oil pan. Use a funnel when put new oil in the engine. The exact amount of oil with an oil filter change is 3.1 liters.
Do u race? I am from greece and i made this car a party box😂 u have to make the same!good job it was helpfull
Did u put big speackers and subwoofer?
why dont you use the coil pack to pull the spark plugs out once loosened.. or a old hose tube
Honestly didn't think of that
