Love those Italians
Io vivo in Toscana.
I love seeing this!
Watching that nasty mess of an operation is enough to turn me off of olive oil for life.
How does an American buy this olive oil? Is it sold in the United States and what’s the brand name?
i will organize Etsy shop for this later
Not sure what this means. Is it sold on Etsy? What’s the name of the olive oil?
The first 1 second is me currently
😐
What does the wast get made into ..?
Nice video 👍
I want a material like this
Homemade bread, little cheese and red pepper in the olive oil, Chef 💋
Italian olive oil is the best.
We get tinted canola here
Some well oiled machines.
"By hand"? That shop is filled with machinery.
They operate the machinary by hand. 😂
😮🎉🎉🎉😊
Give me a loaf of fresh bread, then leave me alone😂😂😂😊
And some provolone and some soppressata. Which was what my grandmother would bring me when she visited from Yonkers when I was younger.
With a squeeze of lemon .
By hand - No but by gum I bet that oil is top notch.
And I am totally subscribing!! Looks like we're going on a trip!!
I bet that oil tastes like heaven. Straight from the source! Incredible.
look at the olives in the beginning, most are way past ripe making the oil bitter. no thank you.
great video. would have been better with background voice/commentry.
I want to see the extra virgin
The automation makes it faster but still old school style
That is absolutely the FILTHIEST food production facility I have ever seen. Nasty, nasty, nasty. No hair nets, dogs in the plant, old machinery dripping oil - HIDEOUS. I don’t care how delicious it tastes, I’ll never knowingly let another drop of that nasty shit near my mouth.
Still the same mafia... Buy rapeseed oil health and nutrition benefits the same
There is a lot of olive oil which was bought in Greece or Turkey and bottled in Italy...
Who cares
I never knew 2 different colors of olives are used in this process,,,,equal amounts or a family secret of percentage?? Wonderful family and video...thanx so much
I think there's no secret. From what I know, the different colors of the olives are only due to the different degree of their ripeness. It is said that the best extra virgin olive oil is from olives not fully ripe.
Not all olive tree produce black olives. Some are green even when full ripe. that s a blend of different olive's varieties. Some with early and some with later ripeness degree
Nice video and process, but this is for from been made by hand 😀
Nothing gorgeous this a traditional olives oil method have only problems because using warm water i have working 20 years this
You know NOTHING
good
What happens to the stones ?
They get crushed into the pulp and become part of the residue.
Preistorico
Our little village frantoio is just the same - cold press - less oil but much better quality. But no visit there for us this year, the completely dry summer in Basilicata left us with no olives at all on the trees. :( Let's hope for better next year!
Thats very good job guys i like it, thank you,❤👍🙏
Un po sporco il posto
cool
I was curious what they did with the waste. Landfill or garden mulch? You have a nice family business. All the best. 😊
It's not important
the water u get in the decanter is mostly a waste that need to be dispose. The paste that come out as a byproduct from the press after the first oil extraction can be treated again to extract even more oil , low quality thou, which sell for less than half price than the extravirgin one. What it remains is mostly the ligneus part of the seeds that can be press in pellets for stoves. The paste can also be use in anaerobic fermentation plants to produce biogas and the leftover product can be than turn into compost. Not every oil mill follow these steps thou.
The canteen is usually separate from the the work area
Best MADE IN CREEK
Cold pressed olive oil is always the best method with better quality taste 🇮🇹👍
Yes I used to work on nicola amenduni it gives the best oil ever and also Alfa laval separator
This reminded me of the time when olive oil tasted soo good.
Looks like a really nice clean environment and everybody is so busy.
Man, the place is filthy!
If you think it’s clean don’t invite me to sit down in your place. I don’t want to stick to anything.
Gotta agree with everyone else here. Nastiest pigsty of a factory I have ever seen. I find it hard to believe that whatever passes for Italy's Department of Health would allow this place to continue operations. They are going to make someone sick.
This is too much! Massignano is my family's favorite town in Italy. We recognize many of the characters in your video. Pepe, la macelleria is one of our favorites. We will be following your channel. Good luck!
