This is a quick update to where I am on my Tacoma project. I purchased this project truck from Florida with less than 70,000 miles and had a good bones but needed a lot of love. This is where I’m at after a couple of months of purchasing and just lots of hard labor.

This is just an update of some of the recent changes I’ve made to the 2000 Tacoma. I bought this Tacoma Florida in Florida and had it transport it up to the Midwest and I’ve been slowly rebuilding it to what I want. Would you be able to see that leak if you did the smoke test starting from the air intake right after the air filter?
Great tire choice, Cooper Discoverer AT3’s are the best all terrain tires for the rain, you can tell by looking at the treads. Perfect tire for Florida.
Is that the same spot where you connect the smoke machine to look for intake leaks?

That’s awesome looking man. How did you go about painting the grille and L+R bumper sides from black to chrome? I’ve never painted over chrome so want to make sure I do it right on my 1st gen
I have a problem code p0171 too lean i do smoke test and no vacum leaks , and my fuel pressure is normal also i replaced oxygen sensor, and no results STFT is 5% but Long term is 29% please help

Nice job on restoring your 2000 Tacoma TRD 4x4 truck! I wish that you didn't take off the emblems & TRD decal off of the truck though since they're original to the truck. The graphics looked 1990's so I wouldn't miss it. I like that you painted the OEM wheels. Nice detailing, soundproofing, & entertainment system upgrades. Getting the body work & a nice paint job will make the truck look great. It will help if you decide to sell the truck.
I bought mine in Tampa as well, the paint was roached just like that but it’s Green. I had to get work done on my Semi and the mechanic had it, they had rebuilt it and the customer didn’t pay. I love it, I’m at the same place as you, suspension and paint… I’ve actually driven it to Mexico City, it’s the perfect adventure truck.
Dude congrats on the Taco, you did an awesome job on the interior , and your rims look beautiful, that dent in the rear lower panel should be an easy job too, a slap hammer and palm anvil will make easy work of the panel, a little heat while you work the metal will make it flow better too, anyway good job Bro !!!

What about if you get P0172, code for 2013 328i N26, I just replaced my stock turbo inlet, drove around everything was fine then the next day, engine code pops up and only code that shows is P0172, says it’s running rich, keep in mind this car has its 02 sensors off, and is catless from previous owner, any idea? I’m thinking about doing a fuel pressure test to see if it’s the HPFP,
the system says all systems is all right, on the idrive system
If everything was fine before that I’m gonna assume it’s a leak, or an opening somewhere
Check the fuel pressure sensor and just replace it. It’s cheap and easy and has been known to cause issues. You need a larger wrench and crows feet to torque it.
I’m pretty sure the intake manifold gaskets is what’s causing my lean code as well. Might as well do the OFH gasket while I’m at it
It's a cheap fix, i'd recommend getting a etorx ratcheting wrench set.

Is this will fit even tho my Mavericks 88 have tactical side shell carriers?
Myke Vocal won't work with side carriers. I bought a butt sleeve to hold extra shells.
