Had a lot of fun making this video.
Carlos Alberto "Lole" Reutemann (12 April 1942 - 7 July 2021) was an Argentine racing driver who competed in Formula One from 1972 to 1982. Reutemann was runner-up in the Formula One World Drivers' Championship in 1981 with Williams and-at the time of his retirement-held the record for most podium finishes (45); he won 12 Grands Prix across 11 seasons.

Gilles and Didier and the Tragic Season of 1982 ! A body blow to the Scuderia. After Gilles was taken from us so cruelly and as the season progressed I thought Didier was going to be World Champion until Hockenhiem. Still to this day as a Ferrari Fan, the 82 season always fills me with huge sadness.
At least Giles Villeneuve and Didier Pironi had a happy ending despite their lives being tragedies.
Je suis tombé sur cette video par hasard, je suis également a la recherche désespérément d'une VHS du même style. Une VHS que je regardais étant enfant et impossible de remettre la main dessus même sur internet. 😭

Laffite não era meu piloto preferido, mas com certeza foi um dos grandes. Interessante detalhar que quando a Ligier fez carros capazes de disputar o título(79,80,81)sempre faltou algo que poderia ter lhe favorecido como em 1980 por exemplo: a quantidade de furos de pneu causados por uma suspensão flexível demais junto às rodas Gotti tiraram vários pódios e vitórias tanto dele quanto de Pironi.

Un fantastique pilote, très injustement sous-estimé... Comment oublier sa campagne sud-américaine de 1975 ou sa campagne nord-américaine de 1978 ? Assurément, il a eu la palme de la malchance : quand on pense qu'il a failli être chez Ferrari en 1974 et chez Williams en 1982... Son surnom de "godasse de plomb" était totalement immerité : comme l'écrivait Gérard Crombac en 1979, il était devenu "Jarier la finesse" avec un "style d'une pureté sans égale". Non seulement il aurait mérité de gagner plusieurs Grands Prix, mais plus encore : c'était un champion du monde en puissance. Ah ! Cette sacrée poisse !... Merci de nous avoir fait vibrer, Monsieur Jarier !
J'avais cette VHS, je l'ai prêter à mon cousin qui me l'a jamais rendu.. Enfant, à l'âge de 3-4 ans je l'ai poncé de fou furieux.. Et j'en ai 34 au moment où j'écris ces lignes.. Tellement de nostalgie.. Merci 🙏
