I love my old cricut maker! My new cricut maker 3, does not cut wood no matter what size and kind of would I try. I have the knife blade. Everything set up just fine. With Basswood it never cut all the way through no matter how many passes I did. I may have to return my new machine.

does it make a big difference hot peeling? ive always let mine cool down first ]

Took me forever to find the ink pad box on my Epson XP-830, turns out you have to turn the printer upside down to see it, hope it's not too messy to pull out and replace. Can you replace the pads and tank first, then proceed with doing the other steps, or must it be done in the order you've given?

Since there are multiple models of “Cricut Press” you might want to include the model when you refer to it. It’s the “Cricut EasyPress.” It looks awesome.

Hi this is just a tip on how I got my Cricut to cut again when getting errors 45 and 85; Here's how it happened, I got everything ready to cut, sent the image to "make" , pressed the 80lb button, arrow button started blinking, press it, loaded the mat, and as soon as the cutting tool started moving to get ready to cut, I got error 45 and 85 on the screen. Called the help line, explained my problem and the gentleman just said wait, you said 85, and here's how we fixed it: Take the cutting blade out of the letter B (I have a Maker), look at the small black sensor where the blade goes; get a baby wipe without alcohol and gently clean the sensor; replace the blade unit and make a cut. It worked. He also explained that these sensors get dusty with the materials you cut and should be kept clean to avoid getting these errors. Again last night at 3am got the errors, performed the cleaning and was able to finish my cuts. Hope this helps, cause sat on the phone for a looooong while. ALMEDIA (Al + media= Almedia)

Maker 3 about a year old. Same issues red light half way through. Now it won’t cut past 7” on the right side of mat (~7-12 inches on the mat) I have the maker 3 and the explorer 3- there’s no comparison! Maker (when it works) is a much better machine.

Another comparison video did clarify that the temperature settings are not a range in which the temperature fluctuates, it’s for applications within that range. So the Cricut on High doesn’t go up and down from 360°-400° but it’s for times when you need 360°-400° of heat.

Mine was only dispensing water for the large cup and also dispensing heated water back into the water reservoir. I ran many large cups of water to try to unclog the tubing but was still getting heated water into the reservoir. Before taking the top off, I tried jostling my machine on the counter and giving it a few good whacks. That did the trick for me. All cup sizes now dispense water and the machine is no longer sending heated water back into the water reservoir.
