Desk Jockey Neck Pillow for Office Chair Quick Review
Heads up for anyone who has purchased replacement casters. I got bigger 3" "Rollerblade" type caster wheels so the chair would move more smoothly on any surface. They are a significant improvement on the plastic cheap ones that come on most desk chairs. The original chair casters are typically 2" wide with two small wheels on each edge. I've had 3" Rollerblade casters on the chair for about half a year now and I've noticed they squeak. Its not entirely the chair...but caster's fault as well. I have a glass carpet chair mat which seems to cause squeaking due to the wheels moving on the glass. I didn't know this when I bought replacement wheels. I have tightened the chair screws, lubed the metal contacts, but the chair still squeaks. If you have the 3" Rollerblade casters on your chair and a tempered glass floor mat, let me know if your wheels squeak as well. I can't tell if its the wheels only, or the old chair combined with non-OEM replacement casters.
the squeaking part on my chair is on the spring part (front part) where you adjust the tension when leaning back and front.. the squeaking sound happens only when leaning front and back.
Thank you so much. I bought my IKEA markus and after two weeks the piston started to squeak/creak terribly. I disassembled it as you shown, sprayed with WD40, cleaned and packed up with fresh grease. It's completely silent now.
Hello, I owned this controller for a short time. Personally, I think the shape of this trackball is outdated and certainly not ergonomic. I also do not think that a person who spends 8 hours in front of a computer will feel relief in the wrists compared to a classic mouse. The device is perhaps good for people who use the cursor little or who use it very slowly. The biggest downsides; - Shape, too small for me - Buttons in uncomfortable places, when I have my hand placed in some kind of comfortable position I can't hit the button, because it is too short - The buttons themselves, two long buttons, but most of its length is on the palm side so you don't press them anyway. In addition, they are very hard to press, you need to spend a lot of force. Actually by them, it is possible to relax the wrist when using this device. - Ball+buttons, all the disadvantages of the buttons also affect the use of the ball, because it is loose (which is normal) it will move on its own when moving fast. The solution to this problem is to use the technique of holding in position with your finger. Unfortunately, because of the way the buttons and the ball are located, it is impossible to do this in a comfortable way, in addition, the buttons are hard to press, which sometimes affects that we touch the ball and move the cursor. Pros: - Scroll ring - very cool idea and execution - Software - from what I remember more configuration options than, for example, logitech
overpriced af for just a chair
Used white lithium grease instead of WD40 and this fixed my problem
Worked, thanks 😊
Thank you very much, your video helped me a lot
What if it's the spring at the bottom? Should I also try and the wd-40
I wish the arm rest locked from pivoting sid to sid
I got mine for 234$
Put some loctite blue, on the screw threads (not red loctite) so they don’t come loose again
Thank you!! This fixed my squeaky chair issue!!
I have been throwing lube all over that stupid chair, wouldn't work. Every hole or metal part was dripping with lube... Turns out it was the screws not being tight enough. I feel stupid. Thanks!
Thanks! It helped with my Noblechairs Hero.
Thanks, figured it out myself, but never wrong to double check. Also don't forget to move your chair up and down, so the hydraulics get lubed better.
Oh thank you so much, I have tried everything on my leather recliner chair with a gaslift mechanism that wouldn't recline, no oil on hand other than olive oil spray but it now works for the first time.
Countless tries to quiet it down with lithium grease, silicone, everything else. Nothing worked. Grabbed a can of WD40 and dripped oil down the cylinder, the only place I never touched and now it's completely silent. No idea why this worked, frankly don't care but I've got another good year out of this POS. Thanks!
Wd40 is a grease remover, not a lubricant. You are effectively destroying peoples chairs. Remove this video
7:35 was the solution that worked for me. Also spraying some into the part above where the clip is. Thank you.
I think this T80 looks amazing. It's weird that after watching probably 100s of chair review videos, I never really hear it brought up.
I got this trackball, thewirst position is really agony , when high wrist give good controll but hurt wrist, low wrist may comfort but hard to controll the ball, I belive other trackball aslo have this problm ,it didn't support the palm
How have you found the lift cylinder to perform? I've had mine just under two years now and it's starting to go squishy.
Thank you! I was looking for a video on stands and ergonomics, and found yours! Very helpful!
I've had my King series since 2013. It's time to buy a new one, but it seems they discontinued? What a shame.. only need to upgrade because of wear and tear on the leather material. 11 years and this chair is still great!
Omg, the noise was driving me crazy as I use my chair every day for work. I bought some WD-40 and after seeing your video, all the annoying noise is gone!
thanks dude it really helped. all I neaded was WD-40 and I solved the problem complatly
Omg You saved my chair !! thank you !!!!!!!!
Great video. Thanks
Bro, you could have condensed this into a 60s clip
I can confirm this does work. Nice video!
Awesome! Worked for me on my La-Z-Boy office chair. Thank you for the video!
Thank you very much for your helpful video. I have a not-that-old computer chair that was making this horrible, loud "GRUONK" noise from deep inside when I shifted slightly while sitting in it. I thought I was going to have to get rid of it after lubricating everything else. After disassembling the center pieces, and just a mild application of Ballistol (recommend highly, also no need to drench the chair in my personal opinion) around the seams, and leaving the chair upside down for a few hours, it's not producing the noise. Thanks for covering the disassembly in a helpful way.
Green Walks
Had some issues with the back-rest of my chair making so much noise. I ignored it at first but it started to become more and more noticeable. I do a bunch of audio recording at my desk so the noise was really starting to become a nuisance. After watching this video, I decided to give applying some WD40 a try. I loosened the mechanism for the reclining backrest, applied the lubricant between the parts, and that seemed to do the trick. The backrest is now as quiet as ever and no longer affects my recordings. Thanks!

WD40 is not a lubricant, it is a solvent.
I picked this up 2nd hand and can't find a place to get parts. there's what seems to be a stable tear in mesh in the area of the foam padding. would like to get a replacement seat and that foam padding. Anyone know of a source for these? By the way I'm 6'2" and feels to me like I'm about as tall as I'd want to be to use this chair. Good enough for me but I'd not want to use it if I were 6'4".
Great idea, thanks for the knowledge and can fix my now
92970 Lehner Rapid
Use 3-n-1 oil. You should find anywhere you buy wd-40 at. Or buy a wd-40 that has it clearly labeled saying it's a grease in a spray car. Or lubricant. Not plain original wd40.

thanks bro.

Seems to be out of production? Which got chair is comparable, if it is?
Edit, gt chair
Why can't we just have a mouse that is like a glove for the index finger, with two buttons and a wheel maybe. TV remotes can do it for like a decade now, why isn't that shit available for pcs?
This is the one! Your video solved my problem - four years later! I tried everything and was losing my mind from the squeak whenever I turned my chair. Thank you!
I bought an Evoluent mouse more than 10 years ago, and I love it yet.
Snapped one of the bolts, but still got rid of the squeaking!
