Also used in Uruguay - I’d take it over a Malbec
Hi HealthyThinkingsubstack: Thank you for tuning into my channel. That is good to know. I know Tannat has done well in Uruguay but I was unaware of Marselan. Cheers, Dave
Great overview on this varietal, one of my favorites. I have the Feudi Greco and Falanghina on my list, such perfect wines for seafood, as you mentioned. The picture of the chargrilled crabs and shrimp? JEALOUS! Enjoy your travels!
Hi JMYaden: I’m glad you are enjoying the content and the lesser known varietals of Campania. When you track them down, you’ll be glad you did. Cheers, Dave
U living in Italy now bro naimeth?
Hi kylec: No, still in the states but always enjoy my time abroad. I hope you stay curious about these lesser known varietals and the beautiful world of wine. Cheers, Dave
Now if only I could find it! Charlotte NC
Hi kathrynbaker: Thank you for tuning into my channel. I hope you explore more of my over 200 wine education videos. Yes, I agree, it’s a little hard to find but worth the search. Production is small and not much is exported. Keep searching, Cheers, Dave
@ total wine had it for about a minute but it’s gone. Sales associate there had initially recommended, so I bought several bottles. We loved it, went back for more, alas-gone. I will keep searching.
@@kathrynbaker5188 Hi kathrynbaker: Hang in there. I'm sure Total Wine will replenish their inventory. Cheers, Dave
Hi JMYaden: It was a great trip and Monica had such passion. Yes, Aglianico is one of my favorite varietals, unfortunately people don’t know it and rarely have the chance to buy it. It’s worth seeking out. One more from Campania then that chapter is closed. Cheers, Dave
Great video, Dave! Thank you for taking the time to record your interview with Monica. Aglianico is truly a wonderful varietal, always been one of my favorites, and I am super jealous that you have been able to try all these beautiful expressions! Safe travels!
Beautifully exposed ❤
Hi guiltyandforgiven: Thank you for tuning into my channel and exploring the beautiful world of wine with me. Cheers, Dave
Baden-Württemberg is not Bavaria...it is a seperate state in south Germany
Hi d.sazzles4217: Thank you for tuning into my channel and exploring the world of wine with me. You are correct and I apologize. It is next to Bavaria to the west. I appreciate you pointing that out and I hope you will check out some more of my over 200 wine videos. Probst! Dave
We are proud to be a different state with our cuisine, our traditions, our dialects, landscape and identity. It is very important that everybody knows that there are many other cultures in Germany besides Bavaria...btw.our culture is more related with the swiss germans😅 But i am very happy that you tried out a Württemberger Lemberger😁🖤❤️
Have you been there? You must go! The best food you can imagine. Wine at 1.50 a glass in bars
Hi Apatxi: I have not yet traveled there but it’s on my list. I do look forward to it. Happy New Year and thank you for tuning into my channel. Cheers, Dave
Great job with this Mastroberardino flight. Jealous! Thanks for sharing!
Hi JMYaden: Thank you. It was a fun visit. They are pullers in the community and were very gracious hosts. Thank you for continuing to follow. More to come from Campania.
Thank you.
Hi evashelton: It’s my pleasure to bring this region to you. Thanks for continuing to tune in. Cheers, Dave
That was a very good wine!!!
Indeed it was! I really enjoyed it. Cheers, Dave
Great video Can u advice what temp should we drink moscato
Hi direxxion: Thank you for tuning into my channel. As mentioned, Moscato can be either a sweet or dry wine. In either case, you would want to drink Moscato chilled but not ice cold. 40 - 45 degrees F would be best. This allows the exceptional aromatics to come out and enhance your wine experience. Cheers, Dave
Fantastico! Love getting the opportunity to see this process up close. Tuned in, looking forward to more. Thank you for taking the time to film, edit, and share! Graze mille, questo e molto interessante!
Hi JMYaden: I’m glad you are enjoying the content. Yes, this is a different format for me but I wanted to tell the story. More to come, Saluti, Dave

Love seeing these videos shot in the vineyard! It really helps to be able to visualize all the things you are talking about. I hope you've had a fantastic trip, and can keep up the wine education now that you've retired!
Hi Jessee: Thank you for the kind words. It was an amazing trip with deep, long lasting connections with the the Valente family. Such amazing people. Also, still not retired just took a different position up north. There are 9 videos from Italy. After that??? Cheers, Dave
About to enjoy a glass of Bobal myself!
Hi James: enjoy your Bobal. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Thanks for tuning in. If you have a moment, check out some of my new content including my trip through the vineyards of Italy. Salute! Dave
Wow, amazing how precise this becomes: snipping out moldy or dry grapes by hand. Fantastic content. Thank you for sharing your on-site experiences, Dave! Much appreciated.
Hi JM: Yes, there is a lot to doing the harvest right. This family does it right. Thanks for continuing to tune in. Salute, Dave

Work on your pronunciations
Hi Don: Everything is a work-in-progress. Thanks for noticing. Dave
Didn't know the olives were on the north side, very interesting. Love this on-location content. Also, great job with miking, I can see all the wind! 😂
Hi JM: Thanks for sticking with us through the journey. LOL, the new mic was a good purchase. There is always winds down those slopes and haveing the mic helped with the audio. More to come (9 in all from Campania). Salute!
Hello, i am Francesco, the husband of one of Giannino’s cousins, we met when we ate together during the sunday lunch at Giannino’s house, I was there to get some wine to make liquor with cherries, I hope that you remember me. I want to thank you for the beautifull video that you made about our land and our wine. I send my regarts to you and your beautiful wife and if you come back here i hope that you will tell Giannino to call me to meet again. Goodbye, wishing you an happy life and the best wishes
Hi Francesco: It was an absolute pleasure to meet you and share a meal. Thank you for the kind words regarding the video. I actually produced 9 videos when I was there so please stay tuned. The next one will post on Sunday, November 3rd then every 2 weeks afterward. I hope you will follow them as the story is about a family who does grapes and wine correctly. Ciao, Dave
So glad to see you resume Know Wine in No Time! I hope you're having a fantastic time on your Italy trip. I look forward to sharing some of it with you through the videos.
Hi Jesse: Having a great time in Campania and are so lucky to get to know the Valente family. The visit continues in 2 weeks. Saluti, Dave
This is a fantastic new level for your channel. Please continue to film and share your experiences on location. Awesome. Great job! 👏👏👏

Delicious wine❤❤❤
Hi Viviane: I agree. Thanks for watching. Cheers, Dave.
C,est delicieux❤❤❤
How do I know it's Carmenere if the label says Cabernet Savignon ?
Hi rejean: Generally, if the label says Cabernet Sauvignon then the varietal contents are predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon. In most of the New World they go by a "rule of 75" which means that if the label states a grape type then at least 75% of the content needs to be that grape type. Hope this helps and thanks for watching. Cheers, Dave
Hasn't the faintest idea how to pronounce "Limoux".
Hi hanosmits: I appreciate your feedback and I’m glad you are tuning into my channel. Maybe check out some of the other 201 videos and see if you can find other things I mispronounce, lol. Cheers, Dave
I visited Limoux three weeks ago and enjoyed the bubbly. The weekly market on Friday is small but excellent. I bought duck cuttings for only six Euros per kilo and they were excellent. I also managed to deplete the local grocery's stock of cidre brut.
@@obi-wine-kenobiLMAO 😂

You said small Mediterranean island. Place is huge dude. Biggest island in the med and you pronounce the grape and region wrong

You're a Wine Boss!!
I first heard of Cannonau after reading about Sardinia's centenarians in 'The Blue Zones'. At first I thought it was endemic to Sardinia until I read that Cannonau was called Grenache elsewhere. Very happy to find out it is grown in plentiful supply around the world although here, in Australia, it's available but supply is not so plentiful. Also I read " The DNA match for Grenache/Garnacha/Garnatxa/Cannonau is exact, ". As for it's longevity benefits, I'll get back to you in about 30 years when I turn 100! 😃
Hi John: Thanks for tuning into my channel. It sounds like everything you mentioned reading about is in my video. That’s great confirmation. I’m so glad you are taking this wine journey with me and I hope you will check out some of my other 200 videos. Best of luck with 100! Cheers, Dave
Love this overview of Muscadet! You always manage to slip in some tidbit that has come in under my radar, such as the geographic location of Sevre et Maine, and the fact that the vineyards are south facing. As always, great content.
Hi JM: Thank you for the kind words. It is my pleasure to share this beautiful world of wine. Thank you for being so adventurous. KWINT is heading back to Europe in October so look out for more on location videos in November. Cheers, Dave

Great video! It's Moelleux (mway-luh) , means soft
This is the first time I hear it poont and not punt like the football
Do you decant this wine
Hi Archer: This wine is a “beast” and can age for decades. Because of its high tannins, I would decant a young Sagrantino (under 20 years old). Decanting older wines, you run the rush of losing fruit notes. I gave another video called the Science of Aging Wine. You may want to check it out. Cheers, Dave
Very nice review. Thanx!
Absolutely love Vouvray. It's the only white I get in the summer for hanging out at the pool. A close second is Viognier. Great talk!
