There is no driver shortage. There are plenty of CDL holders. It is touted as a driver shortage due to the amount of drivers that are unwilling to spend weeks or months away from their families, put up with shippers and receivers that treat them like crap, and crappy pay. Too bad the media does do their due diligence when reporting the truck driver shortage that doesn’t exist.

I'm a trucker and there is no driver shortage. This is fake news from the administration to justify self driving trucks on our highways.

If there was a "trucker shortage" the rate's would be thru the roof!!! And they are far from that. Current rate's were the same when fuel was $2.50. When they are offering $2.60 a mile and fuel prices are $5.30 (national average), they (the broker's) are taking a lot more than legally able too. This clip was more of a promo, not about this made up shortage.
