I just recorded another video, that will go out in a few hours. A protoss player was way behind, but he came to me with around 10 storms. I'm not exaggerating!

@@terranzoid Storms are brutal. I really should try to incorporate ghosts to emp but never do because the game already feels too difficult to control.

Pra jogar como terran eu recomendo primeiro fazer todas as coisas que o PiG recomenda no primeiro vídeo do G2GM dele, como desativar aceleração do mouse, taxa de repetição do teclado, ajustar a velocidade a tela anda pro lando quando o cursor vai para o lado e as configurações dos hotkeys, especialmente teclas de "câmera" e configurar o "rapid fire". Eu não uso exatamente o que o PiG sugere para os hotkeys, eu prefiro usar o modo grid, e uso F1 como primeira câmara, F2 como segunda e assim por diante. Depois, pra aprender a jogar mesmo, eu comecei com o "Terran School" do uThermal (ua-cam.com/video/Jq7JBjbZS9I/v-deo.html). Mas os builds dele são profissionais, é muito difícil de executar no começo, e mais recentemente eu estou super entusiasmado com os vídeos educacionais do heromarine (ua-cam.com/video/0EtEPrYdSUk/v-deo.html). Mas eu sugiro que você siga alguma coisa que bata com a sua personalidade, não importa muito o que, desde que você se divirta :)

Yes well observed :) I'm trying really hard to not use it. But I still use the "F2" (for me is "Y") to add units to the control group, and when I do that I sometimes take those units that should be doing something else.

Nice, thanks! Now that my level improved a bit I'll take some time to learn the build a bit better. Thanks for all your pointers, I'll try to put them in practice. I think most of your pointers would be solved if I learn the right time to take gas and build the ebays. I sometimes go factory heavy and sometimes starport heavy to try to feel how each of them feel, I'm not looking for something "optimal", I'm experimenting.

Thanks, man! I recorded another video already, and the bad SCV rally point happened again a coupe of times again :| I'm very slowly getting a sense for what I should build next. But I plan on starting to use the "dedicated scv" approach. Plus I have to improve on a few timings, specially for the ebay, 3rd and 4th gas.

Thanks! Adding ghosts or ravens to my control groups makes micro a lot harder, at least with the grid hotkey scheme. That's because stim is "Z", and interference matrix is also "Z". So stimming with a ghost in the control group is "TAB, Z". But then the ghosts are selected, If I want to steam again I have to either use "SHIFT+TAB, Z" or press the control group again and then press Z. Under pressure I find super hard to do.

Oh, yes, it's terrible, every time I upload to YT I know I'm uploading terrible games, and I assume viewers will be able to tell what I'm doing wrong. TvT is imho the most difficult matchup for a Terran. It is very delicate and complicated. Of course I'll never get to GM doing this nonsense, that goes without saying, I'm doing Gold 2 things, and that's the rank I deserve at this point. Your idea about attacking where the opponent is not, it is pretty good. I'm aware of this maneuver, it is only one of the many things I know I should do but either can't organize my thoughts to do or can't get my fingers to do. Thanks for following and putting up with my misplays! I promise you, I'll get better!

Yes, you're right. But the thing is, I want to learn to play properly, and ravens are pretty good in TvT. There are many low-rank builds and strategies I could use to get MMR quick, but I hope you understand that that's not the approach I want to take. Hopefully you'll also be interested in the videos, even thou I frequently can't get value from them.

You pick the color on settings, and then in-game you click on one of the icons on the side of the minimap, I think it's called "show team colors", or something like that. I don't totally get your point about A-moving vs bio. There aren't a lot of zerg players on my MMR, so I get less practice vs them, I just need more practice.

@@terranzoidlike stim and clicking a new location multiple times into a terran army of marines, marauders and tanks seems kind of like suicide rather then not stimming and letting your units attack on its own eventually, or in theory, move to the location you choose if youve won the fight, ideally this happens if you dont suicide your units like i see happening at least from a viewers perspective the only issue probably was the opponent had more units and it seemed attacking wasnt viable but thats okay since youre still learning

A good way to know if you are stronger is click on the enemy and see what upgrades they have and also look to see their army, if your army looks bigger, then youll typically win

@@TheTenFour92 yeah, I'm not very good at managing the health of my marines, I over-stim and I frequently don't have enough medivacs. As I get better at dropping mules I'm also starting to have issues with not having scans to look forward when moving. Heromarine told me I should steam the first few marines when forward, so that they will be ahead and give me some warning about what is ahead, maybe avoid taking tank shots with the bulk of my army. I'm trying to take better care of my bio, I think you'll se that in my next video, that should go out on 26.12, it is a lot better.

Yes, I try to play "standard" vs Protoss which right now seems to be double gas 1-1-1, 2 or 3-mine drop, then 1 raven and 1 or 2 tanks and 3rd CC followed by 3-1-1. It started working once I learned to fly the 2nd and 3rd baracs to use the techlabs I made with the factory and starport to start stim and combat shield upgrades faster. When I'm not supply blocked for too long I have a pretty good chance of winning. Vs zerg it's a simple 1 gas rax scout, reactor first, 6 hellion + 1 medivac pressure followed by 8 rax. If I scout roaches I go tanks, if not I go mines. In general if the zerg player feels as good as me I win if the pressure deals some damage and I lose if it doesn't. But there is substantially less zergs in my MMR range, so I get less practice executing it. I'm not confident at all in this matchup. And with any matchup if the opponent pressures me, I normally lose pretty fast. But we get a lot of practice vs cheesers in the ladder, so I think it's just a matter of learning to identify and respond to each cheese. That's difficult, because the aggressor must know the one cheese he's play, the defender must know all potential cheeses people may use. Being the defender is more fun because because we have more variety, but it costs MMR.

I know what do you mean, my "right arrow" key is gone, and on its place I have the "caps lock" one because of that. But to me the hardest this game feels the more I want to play it, and the less I want to play other games. Recording helps me on that, because I will not "hulk smash" things on camera :)

Thanks! Right now I'm trying to learn how to micro and macro at the same time. I find that standard beginner thing of only macroing, then pushing a bit boring, I'm trying to execute builds that include pressure. I like the idea of having constant contact with the opponent. Of curse it's not working yet :). I sometimes max out then push, for practice.

Thanks. I do. I use camera hotkeys (F1-F8), army hotkeys ("`", 1-7, space) with the standard modifiers (CTRL, ALT, SHIFT). But I struggle with all of them. Of course I remapped F1 and F2. F2 I put on "Y" to discourage me from using it. It's not working so far :). At the moment I'm trying to have fun while developing speed and good habits. I don't do all-ins and cheeses because they help with MMR, but would rob me or so many things. When you see me all-ining is because I forgot to expand :)

Nice, thanks! Another thing I found on TvP is that we should avoid big fights before steam, combat shields and concosive are done. That with +1 attack appears works wonders on my level.

Yes, I watched pig's old series, and now he has a new one. I checked out, but he's teaching 2 base all-in. I don't like that. And the principle of the "micro cycle" I know already, but I still can't execute it. I know that raven play is powerful in TvT, so I'm going for it. I don't share the idea that if I'm bad at something I should not do it. Instead I'd like to play what's strong, and whatever I can't do right I'll try to do it again and again until I get good at it. I want to increase my MMR but I find it more important to play in a fun, inspired by pro players. Of course, it frequently goes terribly wrong.

I'm trying to do exactly that, but it's taking me A LOT of time to develop the mechanics to play the way I like, that is being somewhat active. The builds I'm trying to execute all include harassment, which makes it a lot harder to do all tasks from the build. I'm not a hurry and will not rely on cheese or on one of those "max out and attack" tutorials. Having said that, I do need to get a "real" TvT build :)

Unfortunately I had very little time to play the last 2 weeks, it's being a struggle. I want to learn some basic skills before first, playing 1v1 I can get 3 or 4 games in an hour, playing 2v2 it requires more time. Once my mechanics get a bit better or I find more time to play I'll be playing other types of match.
