Saturalia Special 2024 | Vardan, your Secret Sanguine | Skyrim Build Guide
SATURALIA SPECIAL 2024!
‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒
Happy Saturalia everyone, and welcome to this year's Saturalia-themed build - Vardan, the Secret Sanguine.
Vardan hails from Elinhir, where the Saturalia tradition is for the youth of the gentry to secretly give each other licentious presents that are intended to dare the recipients into lascivious behaviour. But the giver's name is never revealed - it is up to each recipient to guess who their 'Secret Sanguine' was!
A rambunctious youth, Vardan loves nothing more than drinking and revelry. He enjoys showing off his wealth, wearing fine clothes and adorning himself with gilded and jewelled Scimitars, despite being inept with the blade. Much more suited to the art of wit, Vardan prefers to manipulate his friends and foes with his words, inciting action in others and skulking away like the coward he is. With another Saturalia approaching, Vardan intends to become the Secret Sanguine of all Skyrim - He will take their Wine and even their very Clothes, but give them Mead and merriment in return.
I hope you enjoy the video and try the build yourself.
The build was made in Skyrim Anniversary Edition and played on Nintendo Switch, so no mods!
The entire playthrough was on Legendary difficulty.

great guide!
@@richeser1982 thank you so much!
I'm really surprised that there's not a lot of content on priest builds. I've been playing a priest of Talos for a couple years now. At lower level I use the shield and a bludgeoning weapon since all priests carry only bludgeoning weapons. And now that I'm in higher levels I predominantly use a staff in one hand and magic in the other to support and buff my followers
when i made a loki build i made a high elf (could really use any elf but i did high elf). 1.) felt it makes sense with how their personality is it kinda matches lokis
@@goonmal definitely a good match! The added height also fits the frost giant heritage
Is that Shimo when he first flights the dragon at the tower
@@bellagarcia7973 Mirmulnir was a frost dragon, so I guess it was Shimo. Well spotted!
Thanks and also there is this Godzilla that has a sword and comes from a Manga his name is monster warrior godzilla I think would be a cool build for Skyrim even though it would be the average two handed build it would still be cool but who knows I haven't read the Manga . The only reason I know this Godzilla is from Godzilla guy video the real composite Godzilla just to let you know. And also you could have done a burning Godzilla cuz I think there's ability where you can release a burning pulse just like burning Godzilla did . Either way a really cool video and you can do so much more with this build mainly because Godzilla so much abilities in different eras or forms whatever you prefer . But a shimo build could be cool too .
@bellagarcia7973 yeah, there are so many forms of Godzilla that it is difficult to choose which one to go with. I had no idea there was a sword- wielding one though! I tried to use the Flame Cloak to replicate the heat pulse, but I suppose the Fire Storm spell would have been better
how about this: - a Evil Character that gets all perks to 100. - Aquires all knowlege and power. - Aquires AS MANY Restoration Loop Op geared followers. (i use Main Follower, Mercer Frey, Brother Verulus, Cicero & 2 Dark Brotherhood Initiates). - Kill all that dare to challenge you. including bosses and dragons. - kill any citicen that anoyes you. that kind of character, i prefare Pale Vampire Argnian male.
hmmm, i wonder if you can cast a wall of (fire, frost, storm) and then fasttravel far away to level destruction to 100.??

Merry Christmas! I had an idea, how would you build a Hexblade inspired character? The Hexblade is a Warlock subclass from D&D 5e, its main focus is cursing its enemies and hacking and slashing them. Curious to see that!
@@orlandohoracio198 Merry Christmas! hmm, that's a good question. If I were to do an Alchemy version, I would focus on the Ravage poisons, since they lower the max value of the stat, which sounds like a curse to me. Possible spells could be the poison rune, fear and paralysis spells, as well as ward and flesh spells for defence, with low level destruction spells for ranged attacks. Since they use simple weapons, the Blade of Woe might be a good fit, or enchant your own ebony dagger (maybe daedric or madness even). I'd like to use Shadowrend for a two-handed version though. I haven't much 5e though, so I'd have to consult my close friend for his insight.
@@Fahluaan I wanna try that build, might just use those suggestions of yours! The Warlock per se is not that focused on leveled spells, it needs to use its few spell slots strategically, that's why I like the Hexblade, you learn how to use martial weapons so you can slash shit up with a greatsword. lol I'd love if you could do a video on that or just some more insights here!
@orlandohoracio198 well I'm intrigued now and will definitely do a version of it. I'd love to hear how you find playing it and any suggestions you'd have.

Merry Christmas to you and yours! Making Skyrim great again!
Thank you, merry Christmas to you and yours!
Happy Holidays to everyone!!!
Happy Holidays to you as well!
I got a build idea that pops up yesterday. It's called the Dark Berserker he is an orc who spent his entire youth on appeasing & worshipping malacath but malacath never awknowledge his work & effort not even a single response, during this time he has no ambition to become a chief or a leader he only wants malacath's approval. Not only he is disregarded by the entire world and among his orc kin. but he is also disregarded by the god that he devoted his whole life into. After sometime he stumbled upon some books & scrolls that teaches about boethiah & mephala's doctrine one line that struck him the most "boethiah only cares to those who only cares for themselves" and that's when he thought he should start thinking for himself and only himself instead of caring for a god that doesn't give atleast a single thought for him. He will wear the Ebony Mail boethiah's artifact and the ebony blade as a sign of his complete detachment to malacath. After becoming a dragonborn he became a power hungry bloodthirsty sociopath that has zero fear of facing the entire world even though he's at disadvantage because if the world tries to take his freedom he'll make sure that they'll die first. He will put everything and everyone that will try to take what's his to the blade including alduin & miraak.🤘
@@janpaulgarde8639 wow, that's an interesting build. Would you use magic as well or stick to archery for ranged attacks?
@Fahluaan in terms of range, maybe lightning related spells combined with marked for death shout for things that he can't reach with his blade like a flying dragon for example 🤔
@@Fahluaan but archery is fine aswell 👍
@@janpaulgarde8639 maybe a lightning enchanted bow then 😉😂
@@Fahluaan that's sounds more practical 👍

Merry Christmas to you and yours!
For the wooden mask glitch, does it only work on the Jagged Crown with whatever or can it be anything?
@@UndeadFlavoorhees the wooden mask glitch only works for specific items. Most headgear occupies both the hair and head slots for equipment, but some items (the Jagged Crown, Falmer Helmet and Penitus Oculatus Helmet) only occupy the hair slot and can be equipped with items that only occupy the head slot (circlets, dragon priest masks, etc.). If you want to stack other types of headgear, you can use the prison glitch. This won't always show every piece equipped, but I used it in my Zombie King build to stack the Jagged Crown with a Masked Necromancer Hood.
Here is the video with the prison glitch: ua-cam.com/video/blXCakLCB7M/v-deo.htmlsi=58Ojrl_BncPXZ8R1

I love wood elf builds, going to do a green-pact build but it also got me brainstorming since I’m big on role-play in this game. (Inspired a bit by Skypothesis’s Wood Orc it is essentially the opposite of that build) A Bosmer who was raised as a devout follower of the green-pact goes through some traumatic experience, say his village is wiped out by a group of Thalmor or bandits. Witnessing their slaughter he realizes the weakness of their natural way of life and how the green-pact inhibits their growth, and he becomes an antithesis to what he once believed in; he learns how to use smithing, heavy armor, and 2handed weapons in an effort to not only get revenge against the Thalmor but also because he views the way of the passive, forest loving Bosmer an inferior way of life now. For roleplay purposes you could also get Faendal and deck him out in heavy armor too as a way of spreading your beliefs among the other Bosmer to make your entire race stronger, believing that the green-pact and living in harmony with the forest is what has made the Bosmer such pushovers among the other races of Tamriel. Bonus points if you become a werewolf as that goes against the green-pact as well. Quite a long rant but I hope whoever ends up reading this has their interest peaked and tries it out! Or is motivated to think up some of their own role-playing builds.
@@Skooma_Dealer3 thanks for sharing! That sounds like a great build and I hope people try it out!

My pleasure 😁 I guess they just really wanted the armor 😂 They probably transformed one of their summons by accident once and did some testing to see if it could be useful for anything. Or there might be something in the coding that suggests the setup would be possible.
@@Fahluaan could this work on other ghosts too?
@@boon23 it works on the Haunting Spirit, which has a special hood that combines the Vampire hood and wedding wreath. There is only a model for female characters though and it looks like just a hood on males.

@@WanderingRagabond thank you so much! I know a lot of my subscribers don't have / use the AE and CC content, so I try to make things as accessible to everyone as possible. Do you prefer the original Ebony, or the Ebony Plate armor?
@Fahluaan Both are uniquely cool-looking. I dig the asymmetrical design of the Ebony Plate one, and its more worn aspect. But I'm VERY weak to the clean metallic sheen of the original one.
Interesting build. But what is the concept? What is the character's reason for being a vampiric runic warrior? Is it something like the Death Knights from WoW? Also, for people who might wanna do a Heavy Armor version of this build, the Volkihar Knight mod gives some awesome plate armor sets for vampires with the same aesthetic.
@@WanderingRagabond thanks for the mod suggestion and the question! Based on the back story I was given (shown in the pinned comment) I made a few of my own assumptions: For the Rune aspect, after Synmiarhan was attacked and cast adrift in the freezing sea, his ability to speak was impaired. The healing runes cast on him by the mage that found him then intrigued Synmiarhan, who could now only communicate through gestures and writing. For the Warrior aspect, Synmiarhan tries to assimilate and show the Nords that the Dunmer refugees deserve their respect. He does this by being brave and approximating Nord combat styles, as well as relics of historical significance. As for the requested Vampirism, I assumed that the near-death experience had a long-lasting and profound impact, imparting a sharp fear of Synmiarhan's own mortality. He became somewhat seduced by Serana and Harkon, seeing it as a way to step free from death's shadow, and give himself the time and power to seek his revenge and make a better home for his people.
@Fahluaan Oh, that's really cool! Thanks for clarifying.
@WanderingRagabond no worries!
Great build keep doing good work Build idea beast hunter A Nord that was born and raised to fight monsters that hurt the townspeople raised by her werewolf father this Nord will become a great warrior and the slayer of all beast be that giant or dragon Bonus rule when reached level 20 this build has to fight all giants they see as revenge for her father who was defeated by one of Two handed Light armor Smithing
@@playergage2283 thanks for the comment and the great build idea! I'll add this to my list and I look forward to the playthrough
Another fascinating and super mighty build, which makes use of everything that Skyrim has to offer even in the most hidden corners. That Slow Travel routine was completely new to me. You, my friend, truly know your Skyrim. One little thing though, I just have to ask: how many times did you by accident kill Sven with a rune?
@@boon23 thank you so much my friend! Yes, the slow travel is surprisingly still a hidden gem. The discovery video is over a year old and still I haven't seen anyone else use it. I actually never killed Sven with a Rune, but he did get paralysed probably a hundred times 🤣 I did kill him a couple of times with the sword though 😅
this could be the coolest idea yet
@@as1panda991 it sure could! I'm sure we will all try and top it though
Dude this is badass
@@eliasrichardson130 thank you so much! It was challenging, but nice to accomplish these things without crafting
