Wow just wow ❤ I became an Italian citizen last year through descent. I still need to get my Italian passport. Grandfather is from Calabria, great grandmother from Naples. It would be a dream come true to work the land. I’ve already got trees back here in the states I’m growing and caring for. This would be the ultimate dream life 🥲 my grandfather used to care for the olive trees, it must still be in my blood 🫒

Hi Lily, A viewer of mine sent me this video and while I appreciate you advising newcomers about what to avoid while living in Calabria, I do need to make a correction. Yes our car was burned and yes we received threats in the mail. But it is vital to realize this was NOT done by the locals and in fact we have not angered the locals. It is exactly the opposite. We have brought in huge opportunity and tons of money into our borgo and it is well appreciated. Anyone who is in the spotlight gets trolls and haters and we are not immune. We have a malignant stalker and that person is not Italian. I don't know where you got this story but it is false and if you want the truth, go ask our mayor Alfredo Lucchesii or the local architect, Antonello Lucchesi exactly what the locals in Santa Domenica Talao think of us. You can also ask Michele and her family at the Bella Vista restaurant, Antonio at the bar A'Chiazza, Nunzia at the local market and Nuccia who sells flowers and knitted items for her store front. You can also interview the construction workers, furniture makers, window and door suppliers. Specifically ask them how they feel about the help and promotion we have brought in an how much we have helped the village with our social media campaigns. As I said, I appreciate you educating people but wherever you got this story, you have been lied to and truth is vital in our business. Thank you for the opportunity to set the record straight and thank you for your care and love for Calabria.

Bongiorno! You are looking fabulous! Thank you for the lesson. You made me cringe when you spoke of looking like hell in restaurants. As you know I’m currently here in Calabria. Yesterday, I had the stupid idea to walk 14km in the sun walking from one village to the next. I had to keep stopping in at lidos that were opened along the way for water and a bevy. I must have looked an absolute mess trying to cool down and rehydrate. Lessons learned my friend. Take the car to next village. Don’t walk. Lol

It’s just beautiful Lily! Thanks for taking us there. Thalasso sounds like a greek name, is there some Greek connection? I know there are lots of Greek ruins in Calabria. I loved the last shot of you on the swing gazing out into the sea. So peaceful. Being on a swing is One of my favourite things to do, 😊 even now in my mid 60’s.

The place looks incredible! A gorgeous spa right on the coast omg, what a dream🤍 I live in South California and a 80min massage in a place similar, would definitely hurt the pocket book. How much did it cost? If you don't mind sharing. I hate chlorine pools/spas. All the chemicals seep into your body ugh...I love the natural salt pools, too. Thank you for sharing a place I had no idea existed in Calabria✨️
