Y'all dance so good❤🎉
Grace, class and humility - and a great shortstop. My greatest memories are of watching him and the miracle infield at Wrigley.
All this for 400 views 😂
Greatness
Wow. I remember seeing him play in the early 70s. I was born in 66 and my dad was a huge Cubs fan. He watched every game he could. I remember Beckert, Santo, Kessinger, Williams. What a great time.
I wasn't called the "egg bowl" then. That name was coined years later by a smart alec Clarion Ledger sportswriter, at the tail end of a season when both schools we're having bad seasons and neither having any chance to get in a bowl.
Thanks @JoeHarris3878
People will look back on this in 20 years and not know how scared people were that it would require herd immunity to get over the pandemic. That everyone would have to get it, get sick, and produce antibodies, and that vaccines wouldn't stop the spread. Well that's what happened. Everyone had to get sick in order for it to end.
Absolute legend
'69 was the heart braking year, but still one of the best Cub's teams ever.
Leave it to some Karen sports writer to ask about noncompliance and defying the regime mandates.

This guy framed my friend and “his friend” Doug Reinhardt and had him murdered too. Oh don’t believe me? Do your research. Guys a grade a POS!
Enjoyed the interview. Lots of great memories. Sandy B
Good "ol #11! he was my hero growing up!
I can’t tell you how many Cubs games I watched, I just never remember knowing anything about Kess personally or ever hearing him interviewed. (I do recall he had a nice legible signature).
Judy. Sorry we did not get the chance to get to know each other. Perhaps there’s still time.
Well spoken young man! I wish you the absolute best! Charleston, Mississippi’s own!
In 1969, I was 11 and was an avid Cubs fan. In my mind's eye, I still see #11 ranging to his right, grabbing a grounder with eyes for right field. He would then jump in the air, twisting back to his left, making a fantastic throw to first (while still in the air), and the runner is out by a half step. It was so much fun watching him play shortstop. Nice interview. I would have liked it if you had inquired about some of his experiences with Leo Durocher. This interview could have easily gone on for another hour.
I remember watching him on T.V. make that play many times. People marveled at Derek Jeter making that play, but Don Kessinger was making it probably before Derek was born. No disrespect, just fact.🙂

I just met him at my Church 💕
Come to D.C Washington Commanders
Mike Leach, you changed football. you were the best and i fucking miss you.
Gotta give it to Saban, he actually knows football, which is more than can be said for the fans pretending Cincinnati wasn't one of the four best teams. Class act.
This is why Alabama fans love and respect Coach Saban he’s impartial. Alabama Fanbase is not for the weak. We didn’t want to hear it or like it. But it was the truth.
Got out coached and out played. Officials terrible. Ect, etc, etc. Cry baby.
Great player and a gentleman
If you dispute any of this, you're wrong. You don't have to love Franklin to see that. And, yes, the officiating was terrible.
You had five healthy players CHOOSE not to play for their team, their coach, their school or their fans. Whose fault is that? Ole Miss? What do you want? A handicap start? A participation trophy? A pacifier? As for the officiating, Ole Miss got screwed by the officials at least as much as Penn State. Two horrendous bad calls in a row resulting in taking a touchdown off the board. Ole Miss had some of their best players unable to play due to injuries but you never heard anything about them and you wouldn't have even if Ole Miss had lost. Hell, Dart was hurt on the first play of the game and played the rest of the game injured but you didn't hear a peep out of him or out of Rebel fans. All the excuse making and whining is making Penn State look really bad on the national stage. Build a culture where your players feel loyalty and play to the very end for their team and when they don't OWN IT and stop crying about it.
@@tampazeke4587 I like how Penn State having more draftable players than Ole Miss is somehow a credit to Ole Miss. And that isn't me bitching. It's just the TRUTH that Penn State was hamstrung by players sitting out. Secondly, sorry, but I said the officiating was terrible. Essentially you're just agreeing with that. I wouldn't care at all but for the fact that insecure Rebel fans keep showing up in Penn State comment sections.@tampazeke4587
@aaronrider4051 check your facts. Ole Miss had a NUMBER of draftable players who CHOSE to come back and CHOSE to play in the Peach Bowl. AGAIN. WHAT IS IT THAT YOU WANT with all your pitching and whining? Do you want the game forfeited because your players CHOSE not to play? Did you think that the Ninny Lions should have been given handicap points? Do yall just want to bitch and whine and make your school look bad. None of you seems to have an answer to what Ole Miss or the NCAA or the Peach Bowl should have done to make you Ninnies happy. I've got news for you. If you think Ole Miss made you unhappy this year, you're gonna be absolutely MISERABLE next year! But hey, you'll always have your excuses and your dreams to keep you warm. That's the last moment of my precious time I'm to waste on any of you. Say whatever makes you feel better. I won't see it. Ta!
Typical Loser. Team wasn’t ready to play.
Typical overrated overhyped loser coach
Isn't it funny the guy that pushed so hard to get Franklin all that money is no longer at Penn State
That's why I call the used car salesman he so full of shit he tells you it's raining outside u better go outside and look for your self
stfu Franklin you are 5-26 against top 15 teams. See a pattern here. You suck unless it Delaware or UMass you thief. return the 75 million you stole.
OLE MISS WHOOPED THAT ASS don’t matter about refs or anything else. Flat out whooped em. HOTTY todddy
Bullshitter
Watching the 1st quarter of the Wisconsin game, have you seen their receivers? They have over 9 players either sitting out or transfer portal. So far they are spanking LSU. Coaching and preparation, oh sorry we just beat Delaware and Rutgers again.
To be fair LSU doesnt have a defense Didnt have any of their receivers Didnt have their Heisman winning qb And still won the fucking game
@fate8718 to be fair Wisconsin had a ton of op outs and transfer portal and some how had receivers.
@deansorge4058 Wisonsin was missing a few guys But LSU had like 3/4 top 15 NFL picks sitting out amoung other guys But either way Funny ass game between 2 mid ass teams
This bowl games are a joke
Oh yeah, blame everybody except yourself. Can't be any of my fault, I'm special don't you know?
It's been the same issue all year long. You don't need to be a coach to diagnose the problems. Receivers who can't get any separation. We play between the hash marks. The offense relies totally on the running backs and tight ends. Early in the game when the score is close and we can lean on the run game and defense, we are fine. If we get behind and we have to pass to convert third downs, we get into trouble. We cannot drive the ball down the field against the top teams, and it shows. Let's put the blame where it truly belongs. I like James Franklin, but the buck stops at the top. For whatever reason, Penn State has not been able to recruit and develop talent at the wide receiver position in the past few years. Our offense against the top teams then becomes predictable and non-explosive.
I watched the whole game . Ur team didn't show up to play . Ur QB is HS player. U had some time to prepare for the game Poorly coached game . Ur second string WAS not ready to play !!! Same thing with Auburn THEY didn't show up to play !! U play the deck ur dealt . In the future have ur second string READY TO PLAY SOME FOOTBALL!!!!
This video proves Dennis Franklin only cares about himself. He is forever just a piece of sht.
Those moving parts all wore Blue &White! Also, Penn State had all their defensive players when the lost to Michigan and Ohio State! A excuse is nothing more than a skin of a reason stuffed with a lie!
Ole miss is not as good as those two teams
@@jamieayers-cg7py Good enough to whip PS like Missouri, Tennessee & LSU all won today and we shall see what happens between Alabama and Michigan later today!!
@jamieayers-cg7py Michigan prolly not Ohio State Im throwing 50 on OM moneyline
Congratulations you beat Penn State with their backup players
Oh yeah and Ohio State they had all their back up players playing. Also get real.
This guy is a spineless POS. Take some damn accountability rather than just listing excuses on why you got embarrassed
Lol. Lmao, even. Jimmy Swaggart moment.
I misss him
Any other coach would have gotten upset or say none of your business and he’s making fun of the reporter but in a nice gentle funny way. But he’s right. They do start to stink
Kentucky fan here. God Bless Mike Leach. He answered this question like a Senator answering a controversial question. Cracked me up! Mike Leach was a treasure. RIP, Sir.
Toying with the communists!
My favorite ballplayer.
"New Mississippi State head football coach Jeff Lebby asked how the importance of the #eggbowl"...?? What? Do you not know English?
In one year Lebby will be begging an agent to get him a contract to get back out of the state of Mississippi. Would not wish that state on anybody.
someone is ass hurt.
Damn i miss this dude
This man is a coach no doubt in my mind that word Pride and he's said it several times that's what wins ball games and makes you a man!
God bless
