It has got so bad that it is literally going to have significant economic consequences. Not only the cost of repairing vehicles (roll bar links, bushes, dampers, wheels and springs let alone the wear and tear to the body from the constant pummeling) but also people perhaps not even wanting to risk making trips (to somewhere where they might spend money) in the first place. I am starting to dread any future need to travel around regional Victoria for fear of what I will come up against in terms of poor quality roads. Even the roads at Wang are falling apart! I've massively curtailed my trips along Great Alpine Rd as it has become too high a risk road to drive on. So that is a regular spend at Bright out the window. Some of the really badly damaged sections have had roadwork signs for 18 months now. They might as well just put the roadworks signs in permanently and make the whole thing a 40 zone!

Hopefully they start the project by 2081
