Woodturning - Cherry Burl Bowl
I acquired this cherry burl bowl in summer 2020, turned to a 12" bowl in Dec 2021. Great looking grain and a fun turn from start to finish.

Переглядів 3 тис.3 роки тому
Creating a segmented urn using Maple, Rosewood, and a piece of Koa. Each layer has 12 segments, representing a year for each layer of lived for the final occupant. This was my first segmented turning, I learned a great deal from it and look forward to doing more in the future. Check out the other making and turning videos on my channel and site below. Woodturning Thermally Modified Ash

In this video, I show and highlight my experiences turning some thermally modified ash I got at Wood From the Hood in Minneapolis, MN. If you are not aware of them, they salvage trees being cut down around the Twin Cities area, mill them into lumber, create various home goods and sell everything with the zip code of the original location attached. They have a large variety of domestic lumber, s...

Reclaimed Brushes for Carbon Shaving Co

These shave brushed are made for Carbon Shaving Co, makers of a new stainless steel safety razor making a real splash in the shave market. The synthetic brush is made from a 19th-century oak barn beam. You can feel the age and character in the wood when it's held in your hand. Here are a few steps that went into making the brush. Gold Heart Desk Build
Переглядів 2505 років тому
A year ago a friend of mine opened her new tattoo studio & art gallery called Gold Heart Tattoo, located in LaCrosse, WI. I wanted to make her a piece of furniture to celebrate this great achievement and we worked out this desk design. The desk is made of red oak, milled by my grandfather in WI, and air dried for years. The oak was ebonized to give it the blackened look and fit the aesthetic of...

Making of a Chainsaw Log Stand

Cutting logs into bowl blanks is safer and easier to accomplish with a stand to hold the log. This stand was made with extra boards, screws and a chunk of oak I had around and cost $0 to make. Creation of a Wine Rack
Переглядів 23 тис.6 років тому
The creation of an X wine rack for an anniversary gift. These were made of 3/4" oak veneer plywood to save on weight and project cost. Just over half of the sheet was used to make 2 wine racks, each measuring approximately 16"x16"x12". The CNC router was used for cutting the middle X shelves and made them quickly as opposed to doing it with saws. The racks turned out very sturdy, each holding a...
Shaving Bowl & Brushes
Переглядів 2,8 тис.7 років тому
The holiday season brings orders for woodturners. This client requested an asymmetrical design for a shave bowl and brush, here is my attempt. I did a small amount of off-set turning here to achieve the off-set profiles. The brushes are osage orange with a 26mm knot and hybrid box elder burl with 24mm knot. Both knots were from the Golden Nib. Music: Daily Loops by Doug Hanson ua-cam.com/channe...

why dont you show the staining proses? i want to learn to stain like that
Nice work!
Hi I'm a Bass player and a content Creator I could help you influence your Bass guitar here in Nigeria and across Africa due to my the audience I have. Get back to me in interested thank you.
The fretboard is either too narrow or the spec between the strings (not and bridge) is way too wide. Just look at how the outside strings (the thickest and the thinnest) are almost to the edges of the fretboard. This is not good!
@@PASHKULI Great work Nancy Drew, you can fix it on your model. Have a great day
@@CLyonsCreations bass strings are flapping (especially the lowest) and doing some vibrato on the highest… so close to the edge. Just saying…
@@PASHKULI Let me know when the video of your guitar builds are up so I can criticize it without having played it too.
@@CLyonsCreations I do not build guitars. You can see online shops for bass guitars frontal shoots.
nice job
really bad video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very beautiful sir! We just started turning, I hope to be as good as you one day.
what kind of finish was that you applied?
"Good Stuff", my go to for everything.
Absolutely beautiful. Great workmanship.
Impressive and beautiful. Greetings!
Looks wont matter if it doesnt sound good which is what I expected at the end thanks
Sounds a whole lot better than the negativity coming from your mouth. Have a great day, swag dog
Just made one
I will be making this this weekend thanks!!
I’m curious to know why you didn’t use your cnc to make the neck and the other parts?
Somethings I just enjoy doing by hand.
@@CLyonsCreations I feel ya. Well ya did great
Bro thats the coolest 7 string ive ever seen!
Hey what was the tool that you used other than the drill bit to cut the cone shaped hole for the diamond?
Countersink
Beautiful instrument. Love the purple 💜
very nice! i definitely need better tools... ^^
Extraordinary axe, well done.
Woodglut plans are amazing!
Super nice and easy, looks good love it
Best build, you are the man, seriously
Wow, what a great job in this bass, very nice!!! Congrats!!!!
wow
Awesome video. How would you do blind fret slots?
Would this work with 24 frets? I will also be doing a 7 string, what would the width be on that?
just copied this, great, love and peace from Scotland
Masterpiece of guitar 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
I would like to Master this skill
Where does one find that handheld sanding drum attachment?!?!?!? That is awesome
Impressive build, but 38" is a damn long scale! These strings, they just don't fit. This bass needs a custom set.
That b string doesn't seem quite right?
I am a 54 years old disable fireman who is being forced to give up volunteering after 17 year. I know absolutely nothing about base guitars but I want to learn to play one do you think your guitars are a bit too much for me or should II start with something a bit cheaper and easier, but your guitars are magnificent
Il y a un souci avec la corde de Si qui est carrément au bord du manche, à la limite des frettes !!! je ne suis même pas sûr que cette basse, du moins cette corde, soit jouable ?!!
I'll be happy when this fad is over. and we get back to building custom guitars out of the BEST wood available,, instead of the garbage.
very stunning bass but not sound demo is a crime...
Nice bowl. What finish did you use. Please consider not using a spindle toughing gouge for bowl turning. The tang’s can break where they enter the handle, it’s like a missile headed toward you at that point. Thanks for posting the vid.
Very nice work, beautiful bass what wood are the wings from?? Thanks Spike
Olé!!!
Beautiful, well done and thanks for sharing!
All top pro highest quality. Build.. You good man and a player on your 7 string custom.yeah
So so beautiful!!
Wow!! Absolutely gorgeous!
How do the pickups work?
They worked well for passive pickups. Nordstrand pickups always haha a good output level in my experience.
Looks like a Jerzy Drozd-- one of my top top manufacturers.
Did the epoxy hold up with the gemstone in the long run? My boyfriend is wanting to make my engagement ring and we're trying to figure out the best way to put a gemstone in it
It did and still is to my knowledge
@@CLyonsCreations awesome, thanks for the response!
@@CLyonsCreations I saw someone make a gap in the wood ring, and push the round shape stone into the gap, so the edge of gap hold the stone very firm. And he said it needs the wood with very good flexibility and extensional rigidity。otherwise the ring will crack when you push. But I am not sure that whether faced gem stones, like diamonds, blue sapphires or ruby, are suitable for this design, because that people only use round shape stones.
Great looking bowl.
Absolutely beautiful finish.
This was very relaxing.
Looks amazing, that resim part is almost like some kind of marble or onyx..
