Thanks for doing this. Much appreciated.
My pleasure!
Thank you for elaborating on this subject! Much of this analysis is still over my head although I did gather more clarity than I had before. I will make sure to save this video and watch it again further into my Hebrew journey. I appreciate your guidance and passion for teaching. ת ו ד ה ר ב ה

Awesome! I'll check it out soon. Thank you
Jared, would you do a grammatical analysis/ guided reading tutorial of Genesis 14 or Hebrew 7? I'm still very new and not able to decode Hebrew the way I hope to be able to in the future but I have been trying to understand who Melchizedek is and the search has led me to a bunch of opposing theories. English translations really reveal very little.
Here's a video I just uploaded on the verses that mention Melkizedek. Not sure if it's what you're after, but I hope it helps in some way. ua-cam.com/video/cMws3P-uekk/v-deo.html
Thanks for the explanation. Does the position of a letter within the root, whether in the first, middle, or third position, have significance? I assume there might be some thought on this within Kabbalah.
Grammatically, The root is three letters in a certain order. Some hold to the theory that roots with the first two letters in common have some shared meaning, but I'm still hesitant. As for mystical applications as in Kabbalah, the sky is the limit. Which, in my estimation, makes mystical interpretations simultaneously fascinating and useless. LOL.
@@Hungry4Hebrew Thank you for responding kindly. The theory of the two-letter common root is new to me and something I will consider as I study. The seed of my inquiry goes back to the impression that Jacob needed to go through the House of Laban in order to become Israel. Some methods of contemplation on this thought have included: *Studying the individual names: Laban is "white," or the root for the moon and bricks. Leah and Rachel have names related to cow and ewe, both animals that are temple sacrificial animals. The idea is that the name is the story. - Using the concepts from Michael Munk's work, The Wisdom in the Hebrew Alphabet (Artscroll Press), and applying these concepts to form Notarikon. As a rough example, Laban, or Lamed, Beit, or final Nun, could connect to learning, house or relationship, and "son of" or second nature. Additionally, could his name become "son of the heart." Leb with a final nun added. The idea of the final nun as representing the "son of" goes back to the medieval Rabbi's *Using the names to make connections to what they might represent. If learning is related to Laban's name and his daughters carry some essence of their father, then what about their offspring through Jacob? This seems to hold in that Reuben could be "a seeing son," Simon as "to hear," etc. The apex of this learning is Rachel's children, Joseph, or added on, and Ben Jamin, or Son of Righteousness. The pieces flow and work within concepts that are not specifically grammatical, but they examine many facets of knowledge and culture to see what is reflected back. Yes, I am a mystic. Shalom.
At the risk of repeating myself, I still think that the sky is the limit with mysticism, but yes, the process is so much fun...connecting the various possibilities!
Jared sings nearly as well as he teaches and explains deep things for me
Nearly...lol.

Glad you enjoy it.
I have just stumbled across this. I like it. It is very distinct as the pronounciation is midway between Ashkenaz and Sephardi that makes it very clear. Thank you. Beruchim to you.😁

Tô gostando da leitura , só assim eu aprendo as palavras corretamente
Maravilhoso!
Handwriting seems to stuck in pre-quadratic writing, to enhanche fluidity of writing and to avoid disambiguities, but it creates new ones. The „raschi font“ is untoppable in disambiguity as if was a coerced element of the catholic printing license, intended to impede their clerics to read jewish commentaries.
I think there's quite a bit of truth to that theory...
Thank you for sharing your time and your knowledge ❤
You are so welcome
Thanks!
Enjoy!
To correct my error in the video, it was not Potiphar's daughter [4:30] who named Moses, but rather Pharaoh's daughter. My apologies.
You have faulty Ashkenazic way of producing "gar'yonot"! Teach yourself how to do it correctly!
Thank you for your critique, but I don't know what you mean by "gar'yonot". Are you referring to גרוניות "g'roniyot" = gutturals?
@@Hungry4Hebrew! Yes, I was talking about גרוניות! Sorry, but English is not my native language.
Hello, could you please explain the meaning of the adverb בל used with an infinitive? Psalm 32:9 - "otherwise they will not come closer to you" - is it correct? Can we understand it as: "don't wait till our Creator has to force you to confess your sins and to beg for forgiveness? Thanks a lot!
The word בַּל is a negative particle usually categorized as an adverb that appears about 69 times (mostly in Psalms, Proverbs and Isaiah) in the Hebrew Bible and means "not", "lest", "without" or "otherwise". From what I can tell, this word appears with a infinitive only in this verse (Ps. 32:9). It usually appears with a finite (conjugated) verb. I might opt for a literal translation of "not to come near".
Nicely done. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Great help thank you
