Can you draw unemployment the whole time you are on furlough?
I felt the pain of the old guys being told they don't work fast enough. I'm 21 and I get hassled the same way. It's like, y'all want me to work safe or fast? You can't do both, these are trains.
what an emotion to take the fortified gate that Joan of Arc used for her departure to war!

I hope you enjoyed your travel in the Loire valley following the steps of joan of arc. This young girl is really fascinating, isn't she? (Frédéric leaving in beaugency )
Caryl Schoonmaker. My husband, Bob, has been an engineer for the last 44 years. I'm talking about age discrimination. There is a female trainmaster in East L.A. that tried to get Bob to break a rule that SHE misinterpreted. Bob told her he would get fired if he did what she said. Well when she said, "jump," he didn't say "how high?" She got her nose out of joint because she's a female working in a man's world and can't handle it. So she whips out her invisible you know what and beats her subordinates over the head with it. 4months ago, Bob didn't hear his switchman over the radio because of a glitch, and this trainmaster appeared out of nowhere and pulled him out of service for a "hearing problem." He had 3 hearing tests, seen a neurologist, had a brain scan and has had 2 physicals.......per the U.P.'s request. He has passed everything with flying colors and he is still not back to work. God only knows what they're going to come up with next. Bob needs his job. He should have been back to work after he passed the hearing tests. Bob has been an Engineer for the U.P. for 44 years and she hasn't been there too long. Bob is 66........this bitch is 26. How does ONE person have the authority to keep an employee from his work, humiliate him, and just stomp all over his dignity after he's been loyal and given his lifeblood for this company? I would like to know. Bob is the best the U.P. has. Anyone who sends a loved one out to work with Bob Schoonmaker is going to get that loved one home safe and sound at the end of the day. There is NOTHING wrong with Bob. I do believe that there is something wrong with an employer who treats a good employee like crap. The lady in this video made a reference to someone making her feel too incompetent to do her job. That's exactly what they are telling Bob. Except for Gender discrimination, they have said every other EEO violation regarding my husband. Where and when is this nonsense going to stop and when is someone in this big "family oriented" and "we care about our employees" company going to reach out and help my husband, and at the same time reel in this bitch in L.A. for doing this to people????? I can remember when he was younger he couldn't WAIT to get to work, worked overtime, and loved every minute of it. How can a company treat a loyal employee like that? This isn't much for 44 years of service.
87th subscriber. Watching now. I am Joan. I prefer Jeannette. (I don't spell it that way.) Is it possible? Look at my face. Might I have not taken the Male armor before I was born for I knew what they would do to my chest? His Chariot, His Reign, not mine. Oh, by the way, in this earthly line my grandfather was the lone mortal chose to introduce Tell-A-Vison to the world at the 1939 New York World's Fair, He broadcast the first football game and, the First Mass. Get it? Good. God Bless. I will go back to watching now. Are you still "Alive," How does it feel to know you "May" have touched me with your care... ? I mean, if I am not a crazy person... but then they now only talk of Joan and schizophrenia... lol. Should I not laugh in the face of what now faces us all? For I know the Imperative. What do you know about sound and the fall of Jericho? My family brought Nipper from England to be RCA's Mascot, you see... "His Master's Voice" does matter. I will look out for you Kirk, though we do not meet till the other side. Just approach me, I will remember... Enjoying this. Have you seen the sister statue given by France to Philadelphia? It sits in front of what was at the time, the grandest, largest apartment building ever, The Philadelphian. Not a replica. A Sister Statue. This was my home of Infancy. I was born this time around the wheel, in the year of Our Lord 1969. I am crippled like you. I am Here.
Hauviette called her Jeannette, possibly Zabillet. She said my name is Jehanne la Pucelle.
I think that was Saint Catherine of Alexandria, not an angel. The only angel that visited her in her visions is the Archangel Michael.

I loved being told I would be 'watched'. Surprising how safety and operating rules can make being watched so much fun.
I'm currently studying French so I may one day travel to France and research firsthand the incredible story of Jehanne d'Arc. I hope to one day tell her story in a television miniseries (a two- or three-hour film would be too short to adequately depict such an extraordinary person). From her birth to her trial of Rehabilitation, I want to make it as historically accurate as possible. Although it will be some time before I realize that dream, this beautifully shot mini-doc will, for now, satiate my appetite for viewing 15th century France. I'm not a religious man, but I do believe in spirits and the afterlife (odd, right?). I hope Brother Hatch finally got to meet St. Joan.
A key is st Michael. He is one of the 7 Archangels. He is in charge of the battle between the good angels and the 1/3rd of the Angels that are bad. Don't forget him. He is key. He appeared to Joshua in the old testament and to the 3 Fatima Children In 1917.
Thanks you for your kind regards. I look forward to your extended documentary presentation. There are precious few subjects as noble as the one you have chosen. Mr. Hatch has met Jehanne since he passed away six years ago.
@@uncatila Why Michael the Archangel ? Michael the Archangel was quite popular , during the Hundred Year War, in France. Why in France ? Since Mount St Michel , in Normandy, had resisted the English' attacks, during the Hundred Year War, it was seen as a miracle by France' population. Michael was ''seen'' by thousand of people in visions and dreams during these difficult times. Mount St-Michel, today, is an island again, similar during the Medieval period. to visit the place is a must...

Jehanne la Pucelle. She never used that particular family name d'Arc, during her lifetime. (Please see Prof. Henri Guillemin, famous French historian videos for an explanation ) When she was asked, during the trial, what was her family name, she refused to answer.

So the narrator went into the church located next to Joan of Arc's house and declared that there was "nothing there to remind" him of Joan! Either he didn't actually go in, or he was momentarily blinded for the duration of his visit as the building houses many stained glass windows depicting Joan's story, the original baptismal fountain where the French Saint was baptized as well as a touchingly beautiful bust of Joan with a crown of thorns draped around her neck. I know because my wife and I were there recently. Take a look at the video at the 30:19 mark and you'll also see in the distance a church with a dome located at the edge of a forest. This is the Basilica of Saint Joan of Arc built entirely in her honor and completed in time for her Sainthood in 1920. The magnificent structure is full of vast frescoes depicting the highlights of Joan's life from her first communion to her death at the stake in Rouen. How the narrator and his crew could actually film this scene and yet fail to go there is beyond understanding. There are many other troubling misrepresentations of Joan's story in this clip, but the ones I've pointed out here should be sufficient to generally discount this pretty yet pathetic attempt at building some sort of relationship between Mormonism and Joan. Joan of Arc was nothing like Joseph Smith in any way whatsoever. I condemn this piece of sugar-coated nonsense and encourage anyone with an interest in learning about Joan of Arc to begin with a very good biography written by the great French Historian, the late Regine Pernoud. The book is still very popular and easily available for purchase on line or to be borrowed from virtually any library. Joan of Arc was singularly devoted to the King of Heaven, her Lord Jesus Christ. She is eternal, glorious, magnificent and worthy of all praise. An example for us all of a brilliant and powerful faith.
brian rahilly well said; and great observations you have!! There are great books written about St. Joan d'Arc and good web-sites about st. Joan of arc and her life and beautiful mission.
Thanks for your comments, Mr. Rahilly. If you went to the church located near Joan's house after we recorded this video in 2011, you had the opportunity to experience an updated version of the church near Joan of Arc's house. During our brief visit everything there was subject to a massive restoration project as our video clearly illustrates. As for the Basilica of Saint Joan of Arc, we did visit there but, because of time constraints, we were unable to record any images and only had time to appreciate the grounds and exterior of that magnificent structure. Our tight production schedule on a very limited budget forced us to make our way to Vaucouleurs where were located elements critical to the story we wanted to tell. It would be instructive and engaging to see images of the Basilica, its frescoes well as the stained glass windows and baptismal fountain in the restored church of which you speak. If you had the chance to capture such images during your visit, feel free to post a hotlink on this page for all who visit here to enjoy. It is apparent that you have not had the chance to secure and study a copy of the book authored by the late Robert D. Hatch (unfortunately, his biography of Joan of Arc may now be out of print). If you had, you would find that Mr. Hatch lists Regine Pernoud's work Joan of Arc: By Herself and Her Witnesses in his bibliography. He also quotes liberally from this and other texts by M. Pernoud in his work. This video program and the biographical text it supports represent our meager tribute to a lady whose greatness is immeasurable and whose example of faith is unbounded. We have addressed the one specific misrepresentations you list above (since we did not include any reference to the Basilica in our program, it is impossible, respectfully, for us to have misrepresented anything associated with it). If, indeed, there are errors in our efforts, we politely ask your Christian indulgence. I commend you for taking the time to view our humble video program. I am impressed with the singular and detailed response you posted above--even down to referencing a timecode mark of interest in the linear flow our program. I also appreciate you characterizing it as "pretty." :-) In addition, I am impressed with the time you took to consider a point-of-view obviously outside of your faith experience. Your comments highlight Joan of Arc's sweepingly diverse influence on anyone who carefully studies and soberly contemplates the spiritual aspects of her life. My best to you in all of your endeavours--especially in your continued travels.
Concerning the church of the village, it is not the original ''church'' of Jehanne la Pucelle, since the church was burned down a few times , since the Middle Ages. It was reconstructed a few times and a new bell tower was built , the original design of the church was changed. Supposedly, they saved the baptismal font / basin ( not a fountain ) . Jehanne' house is not a 15th century house, especially with those type of windows. During that particular Medieval period, Jehanne wouldn't have her own room. The entire family would be sleeping in the same room. There would have been only a ground floor. During the invasion of the Barrois region by the Burgundians , her father, being the prévot of the region, under Robert de Bandricourt, rented the fortress or Chateau de l'Isle , from the noble family, the Bourlemont. The rise of the fortress can still be seen today, (south west of Domrémy.) Jehanne said it would take her about 20 to 30 minutes to walk from the castle to the church.
@@RayB1656 Thanks for your comments. Yes, the church is not the original, but this is well known and I certainly made no allusion in my remarks that it was. However, you may wish to argue with the narrator who declared that, it "Reportedly, it has not changed in 600 years". You are correct in pointing out my mistake in describing the baptismal font as a "fountain". It's an embarrassing admission as I am, besides being a Canadian, also a French citizen, although my family relocated to Canada 20 years ago. The font is not the subject of any dispute within the scholastic community and I only mentioned it, along with other items of interests, for its importance to those who come to this site as pilgrims. You cast doubt on Joan's home saying it isn't the original. However, there is agreement that a significant part of the building is the original home, specifically the part on the left, including the entrance (as one faces the front of the house). In the reference work entitled: Jeanne d'Arc : l'Histoire et Dictionnaire (Robert Lafont pub. 2012) there are several graphic depictions illustrating the evolution of the house from Joan's time to the present. It would be surprising if there are any buildings in western Europe where such items as windows and other architectural features have withstood the ravages of time. Of course these structures change and evolve, some more than others. A striking example is in the town of Vaucouleurs, where a visitor today can see the house of Henri and Catherine LeRoyer, who were close supporters of Joan. Their home is where Catherine first cut off Joan's long hair. That house, which is in private hands, looks like it was remodeled some time shortly before or after WWII, but I'm not certain. Lastly, I read again the remark of Kirk Strickland regarding my comments on the video. I find it extraordinary that an American would travel thousands of kilometers to this remote village in Eastern France and not bother to take 2 minutes to drive over to the great Basilica erected in Joan of Arc's name. The building, visible from Joan's house, has many large scale paintings (depicting her life) as well as the statue of "l'enfant Jésus et sa mère" in polychrome painted wood, which was relocated here from the hermitage site at la Chapelle Notre-Dame de Bermont where, as you know, Jeanne often went to pray. Lastly, I am uncertain as to what you wished to convey in your final paragraph. Perhaps you might wish to rephrase it. Thanks.
@@strickke Hello Kirk Strickland. I regret that I missed the notification of your reply 3 years ago. I find it difficult to understand how anyone could have travelled as far as you did and not include in your video the Basilica. It would be like someone from France wanting to do a study on Joseph Smith, who then travels all the way to Salt Lake City, visits the conference center, but ignores your magnificent Mormon Temple across the street. You are correct in assuming that I visited the church long after your visit in 2011. I shall be communicating with the local authorities to enquirer as to the interior state of the church at the time. However, the mere existence of the baptismal font, where the French saint was baptized, should have given you a far more of an enlightening experience than the rather recent statue on the road near the river. Concerning that statue, the figure standing behind Joan is not an "angel" but Saint Catherine of Alexandria. I say this because Saint Catherine is often depicted with armor and a crown, which is the case here. I'm surprised this escaped your notice. I hope you are well and in good health.

On the railroad, everyone HAS to get along and work as a team; otherwise, the whole operation falls apart, and nothing gets done. We ALL need to learn how to get along, and cast aside our differences so we can do our jobs well and do them safely. Maybe then the world could be a better place to live.
