Переглядів 2683 роки тому
Many have asked and well, here it is... Sending the Jeep off to the shop to finally get him fixed after 9 months! Long story short, after installing the Rubicon Express 4 inch lift kit, the rear driveshaft was too short and would have thrown the u-joints and possible wrecked the transfer case. Now the Jeep is off to Liquid Iron in Berlin NJ for a new SYE, custom shaft, and a few other goodies. ...

Picked my 885 up and assembled it but didn't do anything past the assembly.
Go BIRDS!!!
What tire specs?
Tires are BFG KO2s 33x15. Actually contemplating selling to move onto a new project if you're in the Philly area!
Hey can i get your yj green color code it right next to the break booster onthe plate
It’s the Hunter Green metallic
There are 2 types of hunter green metallic yours is pg5 or pg4??
What shop do you take it to in NJ?
I do as much as I can in my garage but I use Liquid Iron in Berlin
Hey man nice walk around. Great looking YJ. Thank you for actually running the jeep while you walked around it. Just curious if you've ever looked into diagnosing the slight audible tick /chatter thay can be heard, particularly at 3:58 and 7:35. I have a 93 4.0 and it sounds identical. I've been slowing trying to pinpoint it, but it runs fine otherwise and I haven't had the time to drop the pan. Maybe it's just the way some of them sound.
I've heard its a common knock. Its not as aggressive as a rod knocking so I don't may too much mind to it.
Informative video! Few videos show assembly. Thank you, Alex. BTW. Audio background?
Dude .. My ironwood 885 coming in one week .. Thanks for this video . 👍👍
What your wheel and tire setup? It looks great
Thanks! Im on BFG KO2s 33x12.5 with ProComp 1069 15x10s
Nice rig, get out of nj before it turns into a pile of rust! I did!
It’s all apart of the plan!
You ever gonna do a swap form those leaf springs
Hey man! check out my last update from a few months ago. I went and did a 4.5" Rubicon Express full suspension upgrade. MUCH BETTER!
Did the 4:11 gears make a big difference? I have a 4.0 with 3:07 on 31” tires and it really needs help.
Hi Jeff, it helps tremendously! And I basically broke even on the axles and I have a lot better get up and go now.
What size rims do you have? Any back spacing? Thank you
Wheels are 15x10 and have -46 offset
Just ordered mine, should be here in 2 weeks
Very helpful video, looks simple enough that even I could do it. I'm buying the 885 soon also.
Enjoy!
Thank you sir. Just assembled mine using your vid. You also saved me 180 bucks.
Excellent!
Camping trip! Put some miles on the yj!
That would be sweet!
Great little vid. I have a pro22 and want the ironwood 885. I was going to get them to put it together but after this…POC. THANKS
You won't regret the Ironwood! Enjoy!
Alright guys, what’s next for project YJ?! Frame off restoration…? Let me know down below!
That's a clean jeep and sounds wicked!
Sounds great ! What was the muffler exactly ? Want to use the same. Link doesn't seem to be working.
Try this link: amzn.to/34R9khy Thanks Josh!
@@ADunk640 Awesome got it now ! Thanks for the help !
you got a nice jeep and exhust sounds good to
Leave it there dude
Ik old video and all but do you get any exhaust smell in the cabin?
My Jeep is 85% of the time used in the summer with the top down so hard to say. It has a little smell to it but not awful
Be careful of exhaust gases in the cab, can make you sick or worse. Extend tail pipe out the back . Swap out that old cat. They clog up with time, jeep will run better. Be safe and have fun.
nice YJ, exhaust sounds great - you got me beat in price, around year 2000 I put stainless borla headers and cat back on my '89 along with a '91 cat, it sounds good too but different, cost about x10 of yours, cant complain though after 21 years it still looks/sounds good, i did walk around of mine also - paint etc holding up nice on yours, thanks for sharing.
You need to lift that thing up I heard you say 3.5'' lift. My 88 Yj has Pro comp 4'' lift and 1 inch body lift on 15x10 33's photos.app.goo.gl/UQ4ztofakqpw6tnZ9
I'm planning an update video here soon. We did the lift this past summer! But of course had some complications haha
@@ADunk640 Cool deal
Actually it's against FEDERAL law to remove or bypass a catalytic converter regardless of age.
U must have not seen Texas lately xD
No actually it is not
Awesome Jeep!
Thanks man! Can’t wait for winter to break for us in the northeast
@@ADunk640 I'm in Virginia, but was born and raised in NJ and miss snow. Don't get much here in the mid Atlantic. I wish we would get a blizzard to do some snow wheelin'! ❄O|||||||O🌨
muy buen video saludos desde Perú
I’m getting the same grill next month(march2021) can’t wait...😁
Its an amazing machine! Wish they offered an odometer to track the number of hours... I have been smoking 2 times a week since I got mine!
What was the price for the package?
I believe it was around $1400
Can u fix my old Honda jazz.. Or set it up... :)
Isn’t the Jazz also the Fit?
What do u mean the fit?
BEAUTIFUL jeep..!! i bought one new in 1994. identical to yours, but not lifted. and i so miss it.
Very cool and thank you! I need to make more content with the Jeep!
What did you use for the seams??? Good video. Sounds great
I used JB Weld Exhaust sealer and also recently wrapped the seems with an exhaust wrap that hardens like steal.
What should I do with the CJ? Fix it and leave it, restore it, or build it up?! Let me know down in the comments!
I really think you should restore it!! That'll be super cool bro!
@@ericestrada6410 agreed!
What's next for the smoker? Wahoo is by far one of my favorite fish to hook and cook, and now smoke. Have you ever had Wahoo?!
I have not had it. South African here living in California. Contemplating a Traeger
@@Andre-oc7gg Very cool. Not sure Wahoo run on the West coast like they do over here on the East coast. Totally recommend the Traeger line up. I dont think there is a wrong one to go with!
Looks great! Do you smoke salmon?
Next week we will!
What do you guys want me to smoke up next?! Let me know down below!
Dude more videos of this yj PLEASE
Hey man just a suggestion, I was running my big spare on the back stock tire carrier on my 95 yj I have the same tires but different wheels, anyway it ended up bending my door and hinges downward to the point where I had to take off the spare to even close the rear door. The rear door isn’t rated to hold big heavy tires and needless to say I learned the hard way. I’m working on getting a beefier rear tire carrier but I just wanted to let you know
Young Steve Nash thanks! I’m planning to do a new bumper with a spare mount. Still waiting to get my SYE and new driveshaft installed before I keep building.
@@ADunk640 I get you man good luck
Young Steve Nash totally forgot to mention, I have an HD spare mount on the door. Not that it helps but it came with the Jeep when I bought it.
@@ADunk640 Oh ok I don't know if it helps but it could be better than the stock door mount
sounds good. wheel and tire setup?
Thanks Kevin! I am running 33x12.5 KO2s on ProComp 1069 15x10s on about 4" of lift
Sounds great and within the budget of a high schooler
Sounds perfect. Adds to the nice tone the I-6 engine has already without being overly loud or obnoxious.
Exactly what I was going for!
