I used to play Viera. I was hoping for being able to show hats ( I have so many beautiful ones to complete my glamour), but then I switched to Miqo with the free change. I would have prefered to stay Viera tho. :(

I love Viera, but it baffles me that even in Dawntrail with the "new models" we got, the head pieces STILL don't work that are Dawntrail drops. The healer and melee set you can see the hat just fine...But the fending help for this current tier, no??? I don't understand. If the universal models were meant to avoid this in Dawntrail, why is it still persisting anyways? Square can't figure it out, but modders have since 2020. Come on Yoshi-san. Love you to bits, but come on man.

To be fair the dolls are a very different team then graphic team of in game. But yeah I kinda get with the Viera I hate it and I don't even play the buns. I switched my Miqo'te to Hroth cause I hated how short she was and even as a Miqo'te I couldn't stand any hat that didn't have ear holes or covering that let the ears point up. For Hrothgar it makes 0 sense. Their ears are not much bigger then a Miqo'te. If its the location that's the problem then just copy from the Miqo'te. But most of all. No excuses for cash shop hats or hairs.

Modders have it figured out. But that's something we aren't supposed to be using, but if Modders can figure it out, why can't Square?

I literally bought the Snow outfit off the cash shop so I can have the bandana hair and pretend it's a hat. Combine with the pince-nez and I turned my weakness into a strength.

It seems like the consistent thing with the Viera headwear where the ears are visible is that the regular hair doesn't display? Not no clue about the specifics. And I do appreciate that it seems like lately more helmets are accounting for Viera ears just like Elezen and Miqote ears. But yeah as a Viera player, I definitely still share in your disapointment for sure. And as someone who originally got into Final Fantasy via Tactics Advance I was also crushed I couldn't recreate the iconic Viera Red Mage look.
