Great chat! I was thinking about how we are molded by our mentors (Masters) this week when I learned one of mine is battling cancer. I felt a little anxious because I hadn’t spoken with him in many years but called to let him know how much I appreciated and respect him. So glad I called. Don’t hesitate to let those people know how you feel. Awesome pipes bro!

Really enjoy the arty presentation in your videos, reminds me of your earlier ‘Jack the Piper’ videos. Thanks for the mention. You raise a couple of interesting points about creativity and symmetry in pipes. My position is somewhat different, I will go into it a bit more in my video today but we each have our own symmetrical eye and see things uniquely to some extent. Being able to Make your own tools is a great skill, I’m sure it helps you a lot in your work.

Have you been to the Open Air Museum at West Dean? If you like Sussex architecture and buildings, do go. It’s a full day out with wonderful walks, so take a picnic. It will be a bit quieter once the kids are back in school. Can’t recommend it enough.
