I own a 2023 Toyota RAV4 Limited Hybrid. After a year of driving it, the fuel savings, averaging around 13-15 kilometers per liter, is the only main advantage. The advertised kmpl of 19-20 isnt true. If I want to achieve this, I have to drive it as a hybrid driver ex pulse and glide, coasting, really slow driving, it isn't fun driving in this manner. I would rather drive it like an ICE vehicle in order to enjoy it. It's not as impressive as I'd hoped. The engine noise during acceleration is quite noticeable and unrefined, especially when it's charging the hybrid battery. Sometimes, the acceleration feels sluggish in both Eco and Normal modes, although it's really fast. The infotainment system and sound quality leave much to be desired. Additionally, the suspension is excessively soft. My fuel savings is PHP 45,000 per year and I traveled for 20,000 km. If you compare my R4H's 13-15 kmpl vs common SUVs with 10 kmpl, it will take me 10 yrs to break even assuming a 400,000 price difference. I'd rather get a mid size suv and spend the 400,000 price difference to buy fuel. I was just attracted to it's hype of being a hybrid.
