La voce purtroppo balla troppo… mi spiace. È inascoltabile ora. Ricordo il suo magnifico Idreno della Semiramide. Ha poi cantato troppo e ruoli troppo pesanti con una tecnica non sufficiente. Spiace per lui.

I really enjoy listening to and watching all of your videos. We can hear the voice develop and ripen like a nice wine. Your William Tell is amazing but what I particularly enjoy is hearing you do it in the early 90's and again in 2015. Still the same brilliance in the voice but it has taken on more colors and richness. Thanks for all you have given over the years. I'm sure it is a tough life but we tenors who never made it get to live vicariously through you.

The director should be shot. Turriddu is saying a heartfelt goodbye and issuing a fervent plea to his mother, yet they stand like statues 30 feet apart! I guess there must have been a severe Covid epidemic in that era. And couldn't the mezzo put on a wig? She is supposed to be his mother, yet she looks like his daughter! But as for the aria, it was superb in both sound and singing.

His voice here lacks the rich tone and beauty in the medium and low ranges that it used to have, but his high notes are still amazing. To have a solid high C at age 61 is quite extraordinary.
