Soldano slo with eventide pitchfactor Van Halen tone
Goofing with an SLO at a moderate volume. Using an eventide pitchfactor in the loop for a slight pitch shift and then some delay from a Peavey deltafex. Running into a 212 with Peavey Sheffield 1200 5150 speakers.

What’s your settings on the pitch factor?
@@jeremyhefner-j2v it’s been a while, but i believe it was -9cents with no delay from the pitch factor and probably a 30-40% wet mix
What did you use? Is that a Kramer 84? EVH 5150? A combination? Something else?
can you post a tutorial on the eddie tremolo picking?
Sounds great. EVH used a touch more reverb and delay IMHO but you are right there. Check out the tone I got with Neural DSP Gojira ua-cam.com/video/Zhhs37fxGPs/v-deo.html
this soundtrack is 🔥
LIT LIKE CIGS🚬
LITTT🔥
this sound is littttttt🔥🔥🔥
You know it 🤘🏼🤣
Awesome!
you are absolutely amazing man I've been playing Eddie stuff for 25 years Non-Stop and your two to three times better than me speed technique you're one of the few other Eddy fans that can actually pull off tremolo picking better than I can, do you have any original music I could check out I assume you brought your own stuff and there's a great chance it's devastating
Hey thanks so much! Gotta love burning through some Eddie licks! I do have have some original music. The last thing I worked on was with a band called Throwaway Heroes. You can find it on UA-cam or Amazon music ua-cam.com/video/8LF-Wj9-7Ps/v-deo.html Mainly do local cover gigs the last few years though. Keep jamming! Thanks for the compliment!
What are you settings for the pitch factor??? PLEASE RESPOND!😂
Hey if I run it wet dry wet I run it set to micro pitch and set -9 cents on one side and +9 cents on the other. With no delay. And 100% wet mix. If I’m just running it in the loop I run just the A side at either + or - 9 cents with no delay and at about 30% mix. Thanks!
@@brandonchurch1471 what are your switches set to on the back of the pitch factor pedal??
@@ConnorJohnson5150 it depends on what amp it’s running with. They are for line level or amp level. I use line level with a soldano because it’s a hotter signal from the effects loop. But with any other amp that has a lower level effects loop I use amp level.
great googly moogly.
Can’t believe 2 people actually disliked this? 🙄 This is great stuff! 😁👍
Great vid dude! You really nailed that “Eddie” sounds & feel. 😁👍
🤡
I can smell you through the phone
Brendino🐄🔪💣🔌🌪
Jeezzzz
You need to diet
but why is this recorded with a potato when you have a amp that cost over 3000 dollars
Didn’t have any money left after the amp 😜😂
@@brandonchurch1471 hahah
Nice work bud
What are your settings for the eventide ?

Brandon is an awesome musician and a VERY humble person.
DOPE !!!
Good stuff man
Eddie Van Halen did buy a Soldano directly from the designer...on Valentine's day when the owner was leaving his shop. It's been said that Peavey modeled their 5150 off of a Soldano....welll.... that's where he would of got the idea but really, why did he not ask Soldano to make him a signature model? I'm thinking with all the advertising and promo, Eddie got a ton of money for using Peaveys at the time. Too bad cause you playing this Soldano while playing Eddie's riffs is showing what really should of happened and how it would of sounded. Eddie gave the owner and designer of Soldano his Marshall plexi to retube and he was hopingnto see what mods were made to get Eddie's brown sound but ni mods were made. Just a ridiculously loud amp as designed. He then remembered that Eddie used an external variable transformer to change the power to the tubes and in experimenting he lowered the power and finally got the brown sound. Because of this Soldano made an amp where it's designed as a 50 watt amp but the built in transformer is lowered power to supply only 25 watts. In the end, they both borrowed each other's ideas but Peavey really took an idea from a fresh design which is almost concidered more than borrowing. I bet Peavey could never design the amp to compete with Soldano in case they would get sued. Adding your own feel to it and really getting into the vibe as you're playing is evident here. Awesome playing.
Steven Arseneault the 5150 is actually quite different electronically from a SLO. They just happen to sound similar. The amp that did gank Soldano's design was the Mesa Dual Rectifier. At least the preamp is damn near an exact copy. The power section is different, so it doesn't sound like an SLO.
I'm sorry, but Ed is just a nut job. You're talking about the guy that told people he actually TURNED UP his variac to get his sound..thus resulting in people blowing up their amps. He is largely accredited with stealing Mike Soldano's SLO 100 circuit, though, and it's plain as day to see in comparing the topography of the 5150 to Mike's amp. Still, even the Dual Rectifier borrows heavily from the SLO, and I'm sure countless more amps have since. In the end, it's more an evolution. Leo Fender created the first tweeds from old radio designs..Jim Marshall made his first amps as (basically) Fender clones..and the evolution there forth has been going ever since. Not sure how you want to look at it, though...as a business or as an art in public domain. Do people hate Stevie Ray Vaughn because he played (even bested?) Hendrix's own tunes? Something you have to decide for yourself!
This is great
That's about as close as I have heard anyone get to one of EVHs tones. Nice job.
Bro! awesome playing, awesome tone too you got there! Keep rockin :D
Muito boa banda. Grande frontman... sucesso!
sick
fuckin dope man👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nice playing man!
Fantastic player..
sweet mate! i have the pitchfactor and cant get it this good... can you reply with the pitchfactor settings?
Fandango you gotta have the soldano or peavey 5150 amp to get the base of the tone
That was pretty awesome man great job on the guitar and the playing...
Almost there. If only you could buy better fretting and bending technique that would've been awesome.
Jealous huh?
Let’s here you do it douche bag
You amazing ... that soldano has the brown sound :)
Nailed the tone dude!
Nice looks fun I can't wait until I build myself one keep jamming
You need to get a couple of 1x12s and power amp and run it in wet/dry/wet. It sounds so, so good.
The SLO is going to be my next amp. Bad ass amp and bad ass playing.
love that tone. I want a pitchfactor just to get my balance tone on
Always prefered this tone as well.
