Dream Theater - Stream of Consciousness (Drum Cover)
Back in April I have recorded drums for my first collaboration with @smiechu for a @dreamtheaterofficial song "Stream of Consciousness". It was so much fun to learn this! It is not so easy to play as if when you only listen to it. So today I have a full version with an angle only on me. I can't wait for DT's concert in November!

It's been a while since I've recorded some of the FF's stuff. This one comes from the album that I think a lot of people don't appreciate enough "Sonic Highways"". And Taylor's playing on the whole record is awesome. "Something from Nothing" is a great opener for the album. And it doesn't matter that verses sound like Holy Diver! Music by Foo Fighters. fantastic cover!! I actually also had a question, what is the sticking you use for that long triplet fill during the guitar solo? i can't for the life of me figure it out lol

@@mikekosmos sure! I was talking about the long fill at 6:54
@@quinnsnyder1417 oh, it's a standard fill - for the most part it is tom tom feet feet, but on the fourth one there are added two extra toms. So it goes like that - snare tom feet feet, tom tom feet feet, tom tom feet feet and THEN (also a little bit faster I think, can't say 😄) tom tom snare tom feet feet. And repeat 😄
@@mikekosmos gotcha! and you personally did it as a left hand lead to put those snare hits using your left hand, correct?
@@quinnsnyder1417 yes. And usually I'm leading with my left hand with that kind of stuff. That's also the reason why my toms are from right to left :)
