    normally i just sweep the drill on the cylindrical back end surface of the drill....establish 0 on indicator.....then i just normally punch geometry tool number X 0.0 MEASURE....that should give u ur new x position....if you had a drill there before... normally it varies by a few thousands of an inch....

    Ummm... before you do all of this, you need to make sure the drill itself is spinning true. If the drill is in a holder that is bad or a bad collet or the holder has dirt or chips in it it can run out a bit. Or possibly the turret is out of whack and all of your tools are not spinning straight. Something to think about before indicating it on x zero with the spindle.

    • @tonyman5417
      @tonyman5417 6 років тому

      Mike Marino I am a trained professional with many years of experience. At some point you will have to get close to moving parts inside the machines you are learning on. Of course safety is always a priority that’s why I don’t have any loose clothing or bracelets that could potentially create an accident. My recommendation is work at your skill and comfort level.

    Solo una pregunta mas, me quedaron claro los tutoriales de como palpar los setup en X y Z, pero mi duda es todavia se tiene que poner o palpar el G54, me refiero cuando se hace en modo manual el setup, o basta simplemente como lo haces ???

    • @tonyman5417
      @tonyman5417 6 років тому

      Joel Alonso El G54 tienes que ponerlo a 0000 (zero) porque estas tocando las herramientas manualmente. Después de que estén tocadas lo puedes utilizar para mover todas las herramientas en el eje de la Z para hacer ajustes de extensión de la barra.

    • @tonyman5417
      @tonyman5417 6 років тому

      Nunca ocupes el G54 para hacer ajustes en la X porque entonces tú línea de centro no estará alineada.

  • @joelalonso1027
    @joelalonso1027 6 років тому

    tengo una pregunta?? como sacas el setup X para un boring de desbaste de interiores es con la tecla F2 o se tiene que palpar en el diametro igual que las demas herramientas ??

    • @tonyman5417
      @tonyman5417 6 років тому

      Joel Alonso lo tienes que tocar como las otras herramientas, la tecla F2 es para brocas o herramientas que tienen que cortar al centro del material. Tu puedes tocar la boring bar en el interior del material si ya tienes un orificio o la puedes tocar en el lado negativo del material solo que cuando tecleas el diámetro del material lo tienes que poner con símbolo negativo. Asegúrate que si lo tocas en el lado negativo del material tu torno está girando al revés (S1000 M04)

    • @davidrodriguez2028

      @phetinthasanh7083 the screws control the y axis positioning. The tension of the screw controls the position the drill site in the y axis since the screws directly put pressure onto the side (y axis) of the drill.

    • @davidrodriguez2028
      @davidrodriguez2028 8 місяців тому

      @@phetinthasanh7083you could indicate the side of the drill and check each side like in this vid. Tighten screw check other side tighten that screw until y axis sits on 0
