HOW TO SET A DRILL ON A HAAS CNC LATHE
Thank you, very fun ride
Excellent video
You’re using the wrong indicator ! It’s always entertaining watching an amateur trying to do something 😂.
Why not use the tool setter?
Don't post videos.. If your company sees this video you will be fired. Take the paper measure the paper with a mic... .004 And when you touch your tools off, add that value after your press x or z face measure.. #Button pusher
this is hilarious you gotta be trolling lol
What about compensating for the shim or paper when setting x? You’re supposed to add double the shim thickness
This has been some of my difficulties. Even tho I know the process.
Very cool Tony man!
Beautiful ride Tony. Really excited for our upcoming trip!
Absolutely, same here 👍🏼
Thanks Tony. Great Video!
❤😊
You should use a pin for the setup, not a drill bit. Thanks
Why not use a pin or the ID of the drill holder?.
Your using the wrong kind of indicator! I would use a coaxial indicator in the collect .
Not nessesary
Hey Tony, please share more stuff about Machining. Have fun and enjoy 🎉
Awesome thanks
Best tool setter and work zero offset tutorial online. Thank you.
normally i just sweep the drill on the cylindrical back end surface of the drill....establish 0 on indicator.....then i just normally punch geometry tool number X 0.0 MEASURE....that should give u ur new x position....if you had a drill there before... normally it varies by a few thousands of an inch....
Great Video, looks like a great place to ride.
Thank you, it is a very nice remote and quiet trail. Once you get to Mingus Mountain it’s not as quiet or remote more of an campground feel but still very nice. Definitely a great area to spend a day of good riding.
Is this an SL series machine? I'm struggling to find info on Haas ATP compatibility with the SL machines.
Ummm... before you do all of this, you need to make sure the drill itself is spinning true. If the drill is in a holder that is bad or a bad collet or the holder has dirt or chips in it it can run out a bit. Or possibly the turret is out of whack and all of your tools are not spinning straight. Something to think about before indicating it on x zero with the spindle.
Здравая мысль 👍
you should continue doing more videos very good videos man
I did not notice what M-code you used to lower the tool setter?
You're the best! Short and to the point! That part about centering x for a drill was just what I needed 👍🏻
What about 6 edges reamer
Is this normal for it to snow here?
Absolutely! However this was a very unique snow storm.Usually We don’t get this much snow, about 1-6 inches is the norm. Sometimes it melts right away. This was a super cool snow storm and that’s why I wanted to make this video.👍
Thanks ! It’s a great ride, glad you enjoyed it.
Nice video bro
Great, please share more tutorials here, thanks a lot bud
Put a part in your chuck with a bore that's true. Touch each side until paper stops moving. Take dimensions each way. Subtract or ad half of the difference between the two.
But i have got a y axis problem how to correct that?
Hey mate I have over travelled against my pre setter arm and now it won't let me retract the tool on the z axis. It's currently stuck pressed against the sensor do you have any suggestions on how to over write the lock so I can withdraw the tool from the sensor. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
I have a couple of suggestions. Shoot me an email toromanufacturing@cableone.net
sir Please translate to Indonesian language
An axial holder should be chucked in the spindle . Having a magnetic base on the chuck is the wrong way to do alignment.
Great video of the club ride Tony! Thanks for recording our adventure and for sharing it.
Amazing video, if you want to watch my snow come to my channel and Greetings from Italy
Can you teach boring bar
Im glad that Im working on Mazak machines. Theyre much easier to work with.
Thank you for teaching. Great video.
I noticed your turret is the same as mine now I am having issues Center lining my tooling. Could you possibly make a video of how to Centerline tooling. I had to take my tool holder off the turret and now I need to put it back on but I take forever to indicate everything and it gets frustrating.
Very helpful
On fanuc ;you just hit x measure o .and you establish the new position
I've never seen anyone indicate a drill by placing the indicator on the flutes
I do on my Mill. Thing is the holder could be dialed but the collet can be off somewhat. When im doing tight stuff. I indicate the holder then the drill. Good video Tor
Awesome video thanks Toro man!
I'm a student new to machining. Should he be reaching inside the lathe while it's running?
Mike Marino I am a trained professional with many years of experience. At some point you will have to get close to moving parts inside the machines you are learning on. Of course safety is always a priority that’s why I don’t have any loose clothing or bracelets that could potentially create an accident. My recommendation is work at your skill and comfort level.
great job thanks for takeing the time to teach
donald kiefer Thanks for watching.
Something I’ve been having issues is indicating a drill true all the way around. I’ve seen people adjust the tool holder screws but I just can’t seem to understand which direction to go.
Have you found it?
@@ramkumar.j9428 No, but I've noticed you would have to kind of play around with it. It's too hard to explain.
@phetinthasanh7083 the screws control the y axis positioning. The tension of the screw controls the position the drill site in the y axis since the screws directly put pressure onto the side (y axis) of the drill.
@@phetinthasanh7083you could indicate the side of the drill and check each side like in this vid. Tighten screw check other side tighten that screw until y axis sits on 0
