Honestly bug, never seen anyone run around with 6 caterpie

The only way to get a shiny one is to breed a shiny baby Smoochum at the breeder on the Sevii Islands, however I hatched almost 200 eggs and either didn't hatch one or accidentally released it... The shiny is awfully similar to the original form Smoochum 😭

@ just a normal version where did you find plz? Im also having trouble with Staryu and how did you get into cerulean cave?

@Adam-y9z1g try fishing for Staryu in pallet town with a super rod. For Jynx, you will need a Poliwhirl to trade with the old man in cerulean (check the houses) and to get into Cerulean cave, you have to beat the Elite 4, obtain the Nat'l Dex and help Celio fix his machine starting on One Island.

@ thanks bro, ive been fishing for an hour in Pallet town with all 3 rods no luck. And ive done e4 fixed the one island thing and got the new dex still cant get into the cave!! So annoying bec I am so close to

I did go back and try this but was not having any luck on this version I featured! The ROM did receive an update end of last year so it may be possible now!

I played Gen 1 Blue Version first on the Gameboy and my favorite.... 🤔

My first Pokémon was Blue I think, I originally got Leaf Green but we went back to GameStop and swapped it out because I liked the color more at the time 😭 My favorite is Soul Silver, Y and Ultra Moon are close behind.

@@SoftEndy That sounds absolutely normal wanting to swap! It was a harder decision to make than it seems 😅 I remember playing Leaf Green a LOT. It was the first Pokemon title I played on the GBA!!

@@iwanturburger It's just funny that I swapped a GBA game for a GB game, basically a direct downgrade. I still have my Blue though, and it's pretty cool in retrospect.

@@hafidkingston9478 Absolutely! The only difference would be that the rom I played in the video features increased shiny odds. However, all opposite gender offspring from your shiny Gyarados will inherit the shiny genes!

It only works in the Gen 2 games of Gold, Silver, and Crystal, and not HG/SS. This is because a shiny in the gen 2 games only is calculated by the pokemon's DV's, determinant value for short. It's basically just an archaic style of IV's, only ranging from 0 to 15. Since breeding involves passing down the DV's of the parents, you are essentially passing down the shiny DV's for an increased chance.
