On 26 August 1966, PLAN did not have any of the PKM machine guns shown. The base was not anything that the Western world would call a base. PLAN never had permanent bases within South West Africa, only temporary hides or local kraals . Nothing but the official SWAPO standpoint is allowed in Namibia today. Horrible atrocities and war crimes were committed by the apartheid forces, yet the judiciary under the SWAPO government was not allowed to initiate investigations and prosecutions against the perpetrators.
