Manitou owns Gehl. We used to get all our filters from Deere then switched to Napa. Thing that drives me nuts with Deere filters is every time they change manufacturers they change part numbers of the filters.

Great video. Milk/colostrum question. One what do you do with extra colostrum? At what point does your new fresh cow’s milk become no longer considered colostrum and can be milked as a regular cow?

Do you feed the whole herd the same ration or does your fresh group get a fresh cow ration? Do your fresh cows go back to the pack for a day or 2 after calving or just straight into Gen pop.

For another benefit, would you say the cows would be laying down more in sand bedding over manure solids which would lead to higher milk production? Or equally comfortable? And the manure solids are they deep bedded?

We sold alot of husky as and Parma nesseth pumps for lagoons mostly used discharge pipe on a stand some time I would make up a short hose connected to the ball coupler you more than likely would have to add another stand

You are so right if they ever got slapped in there face several times a day milking mat be they would understand probably not ,,, I know of a farm were I spent a lot of time two slurry stores 4 harvestores ,,,there is a development not far from there with a lake people on the lake complained to there state state traced water to a stream that went through this man's fields no then he did everything right he injected his manure did spread on frozen ground the state shut him down farm and cows had been in his family 130 some years the developer new about this creek and built all those homes any way this farmer was one of the hardest working nice man I ever knew such a shame sorry for long story just wanted to share with you
