I love what you did with the parent bedroom! The separate beds are wonderful! It sucks to crawl over your partner to use the bathroom. Once you've had someone barf on the side of your face and into your ear as they tried to make it to the bathroom, you'll be so thankful you did that. Also it makes for easier escape in an emergency. Love the walking room and access to garage from inside. I love the deep freezer and Berkey filling tip with the flexibe faucet. And it was such an anxiety reliever to hear that Mama loves to drive the bus. Okay..now I'm excited to hear the mechanicals so let me finish watchin and takin notes :)
So beautiful!
Thank you! 😊
Gotta love the fs-65s man 1997-2008

Air locks are a new one on me. Never heard of them before. When you replace it with an electric system, will that run directly off of the batteries?
I may have missed it, but how long is your bus? Do you ever share the electrical and plumbing design plans and layout diagrams, and if so, could you post them for us to see? Is it difficult to set up and run such a system? I really love how you have arranged everything. It all flows very nicely. Can you estimate about how much water you use for showers for the whole family? I only ask because my two adult sons and I are contemplating moving into a bus just about the size of yours and we all love our hot showers. How often do you need to refill your fresh water tanks? The port where you attach a hose to the outside of the bus and fill both tanks is very clever. Are your batteries lithium phosphate or something else? Sorry for bugging you with all these questions, but I am finding it difficult to understand all the information we need when it comes from the experienced pro’s; they all tend to speak some ancient Gear-Head dialect and I have great respect for their knowledge, but I am a long way from being able to translate it. No offense intended to the pro’s, of course. They are a valuable resource. It’s just that I personally won’t be able to devote ten years of my remaining life to learn all of this unless it is in plain language. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us. You both did a wonderful job with it.😊
I'm guessing the bus is 35-40 ft ? That's one thing you didn't mention.
I noticed that you left the original windows. How do you feel about that now? Is that the original ceiling? If not, what is it like in the heat of summer?
if you want to make solar power in the winter, you need a steeper angle.
Skoolie D best keep them panels snow free!
New sub! Been watching u guys videos all day! You guys are doing really well! Keep it up!
Thanks :)
Is that a D4500 ?
Close it is a 102d3 a 40’
Love the shoe rack.
Thanks:)
How did you get the fridge in the bus?
MCI's have issues with water sitting on top of the rear fenders in between the wooden floor and again top of fenders. Please check your bus for these factory faults. 😊
Sawzaw in section ❤
How did you get it around the support frame for the bed ?
I believe the use of plywood strips will provide good protection against thermal transfer at the fasteners. I used spray foam, but also ran R-5 foam board over all the steel, but the fasteners transfer heat and cold. I'm having to insulate over each screw head before installing final finish materials. Nice Job!
Very very nice. It looks just like my 2002 MCI. I'll be looking for more of your videos. See mine at Glennman. We're using our bus now after 3 years of converting. It's not completely finished, but we're heading down the Oregon Coast this coming weekend. Judging from the condition of your ramp you removed, it looks like your bus is in really nice shape. My ramp looked like it had a million miles of foot traffic over it!
What ministry would your family love the most?
Hi Wandering Nichols! I'm surprised more families aren't doing this! We want to do the same and we are proud of you for doing it!
@@margarita4601thank you! We’d love to connect with you someday!
Great build and thanks for the share! Curious to know if you have seat belts on the red colored couch? I see seat belts for 5 (?) but your family has seven members.
why did you have to change the insulation when there is already an insulation?
Not thick enough. Sucking R values for RV conversion
Love it!
red couch looks nice on bus yous should put more red to tie it all together 🍄🔴🍚🔴🍄🔴🍄🏐
Dude your Breathing is so heavy bro, can’t even hear her talk

😂😂😂 so funny
Right?! 😂
Beautiful skoolie, hope mine turns out half as nice! Can’t wait to see your adventures. Congratulations. You got a sub from me. If you have time check my build out.
Thanks! And good luck on your adventures!
You're teaching kids that dinosaurs lived alongside with people? Ouch!
Actually, there's a ton of proof that dinosaurs lived much later than many people believe. From stories of people fighting dragons recorded in Beowuf, to secluded jungle tribes hunting dinosaurs 50 years ago, there's even documentation from the 1940s of fishermen pulling a decaying (not fossilised) water dinosaur from the sea. Literally 80% of the ocean is still unexplored by humans. For all we know, dinosaurs STILL exist. All this and the Bible actually talks about dinosaurs living about 4,000 years ago in the book of Job.
@@TheWanderingNichols People never lived with dinosaurs. I think you're a science denier.
@@HannahsCats-zp6rb It's not as crazy as some think. Here's a link to a bunch of research backing up that dinos and humans lived at the same time: answersingenesis.org/dinosaurs/humans/
@@TheWanderingNichols Hunting dinosaurs 50 years ago? Did you go to school, and what curriculum did you take? What country did you grow up in?
@@TheWanderingNichols I looked at AIG and am blown away. That's your source? Wiki defines it as "an American fundamentalist Christian apologetics parachurch organization. It advocates Young Earth creationism on the basis of its literal, historical-grammatical interpretation of the Book of Genesis and the Bible as a whole. Out of belief in biblical inerrancy, it rejects the results of scientific investigations that contradict their view of the Genesis creation narrative and instead supports pseudoscientific creation science. The organization sees evolution as incompatible with the Bible and believes anything other than the young Earth view is a compromise on the principle of biblical inerrancy."
Great this is cool. Love the fact that its removable
Yeah! It works amazing!
Awesome build. ❤❤❤❤ Really enjoyed this walk through.
Thanks!
im thinking if you had gone door to door to those trucks in the lot..one of them woud have one and sold one to you..many truckers cary one as a spare..great vidio..from nova scotia canada...
The thought crossed our mind 😊 but the hub sizes are all different.
Awesome video! What do you all record and edit your content with? It is well put together….🙌🚌
Thanks! We just use our iPhones to record- their cameras are great. As for editing, we use iMovie.
@@TheWanderingNichols Hey, you’re more than welcome! iPhones and iMovie? No way! Looks so professional, thanks, & glad that Dad got the family back on the road….🙌🚌
Enjoy Tulsa guys! lived there for 10 years. Go downtown and enjoy the mayo rooftop bar.
Thanks for the advice! We've been loving Tulsa so far, it's an amazing city.
Awesome job !
Thank you!
It's a beautiful bus, had to start from the begining.
The bus has really been great.
Without the government indoctrination. Always a positive.
So Crazy! We are at 11 months and no where near ready to start living in it. Enjoy the warmer weather!
Thanks 😊 and good luck on your bus conversion
Do you have a service manual for it?
Yay Safe Travels Family
Thank you!
So exciting! Hope y’all are enjoying the warmer weather closer down this way! Hopefully you didn’t run across any bad storms or hail.
Thanks 😊 we've had a little bit of weather issues, but nothing too bad.
Love the bus! I can identify with trying to get the bus out of the ice, just got mine out last week and it took lots of rock salt and some pretty good tugging but it finally came out of its holes. Have fun!!
Thanks! Getting it out of the ice was definitely a challenge 😄
Did you remove and reskin or just cover up the windows you didn’t use?
We covered them with insulation and plywood
Looking good, your hard work is getting ready to payoff, look forward to your adventure. Safe travels.
Thanks! We have a lot of fun stuff planned 😊
Great job! Can’t wait to see all your travels and lovely places you will visit x
Thanks! We can't wait to share all the amazing things we've got planned
